Bug/Issue [Win 10] Starbound crashes every time I reboot my pc

Hello! Since the release of 1.0 I have an issue where I try to run Starbound on a freshly rebooted machine, and it crashes.
Running VC++ redist with "fix" option does solve this issue - but only until I reboot my machine once again.
I tried reinstalling the VC++ package and it did not help!

My machine is HP Pavilion g6 laptop.

EDIT: Okay, just now I did what I usually do and it didn't help. Also added DxDiag for the Support to look at.

 

Can also add Starbound log? You know, for reference?

^This shows ucrtbase.dll related problem. That's as much as I can grasp. It's probably obvious already that something is wrong with C++ because of vcredist being able to temporaly fix things.
By any chance you installed MS Office Professional plus 2016 build 16.0.6336.2025 ? I've seen it corrupting said file.
And do you use McAffee antivirus by any chance?

 

Neither of those things are on my list of a software to have around, good friend. McAffee is just a bloatware, and Office is... well, office. I prefer LibreOffice to Microsoft one. >>

 

Good boy! What about Visual Studio? And do you have both 32 and 64bit versions of Visual C++ Redistributable?

Hmm, might sound weird question, but "MS Visual tools for Office Runtime" and "VS Express for Windows 10" seem slightly different thing for me.
And bottom one is just language pack for VS, I believe so it has no impact.
Probably wouldn't hurt to try install Visual Studio 2015 Community

 

Okay, so. Installing Visual Studio took forever... and it seem to help, somewhat? At least, now Starbound launches but it's very moody - as in, there's no guarantee it'll launch from the first try.

 

Here also sometimes crash on startup- I feel it reasonable, at least it works 90% of the time on 2nd try.
Glad to know it somewhat helped. Maybe some other people should also get Visual Studio to see if that helps for them.
