I noticed on the wiki that item data is currently being referenced absolutely everywhere. The Sturgeon, for example, is mentioned on the Bundles page and the Fish page. Clay is mentioned just about everywhere since it's used in construction, is not liked by villagers, has multiple gather locations, and has its own stub page. Idea: Use transclusion to create a single, invisible, behind-the-scenes source. If a wiki editor needs to make a change to it, go to that single page and edit it there. It will then auto-update all the other pages that reference it. Ordinarily I would put this on the wiki Community page but there doesn't seem to be one.
Proof of concept: My talk page It's referenced only once. How it appears behind the scenes: My user page Anyone can reference the Sneakers item now by simply typing in {{User:Arrow}} instead and it will continue to work. Editing User:Arrow will make the changes appear in my talk page.
