What sci-fi themes and cliches are you hoping to see.

For me, I wouldn't mind seeing the "false gods" kind of race. An alien race subjugating more primitive races through their advanced tech and proclaiming themselves gods in hopes of spreading their territory with slave armies. Basically the Goa'uld.

 

What would a sci-fi themed game/show/movie be without a robot that talks like a man and tells you statistics and probabilities.

 

A planet within a planet.

 

Bigger on the inside

Not really a sci fi theme/cliche, pretty sure these would be included as vanity items anyway.

I had an idea about an enemy you can encounter that's similar to this.

The idea was animal headed aliens, strikingly similar to Egyptian gods.

 

Just because the doctor has one doesn't make it a sci fi cliche, he also wears shoes but nobody demands those.

I want shoes.

 

The doctor IS sci fi and as such anything sci fi is not complete without a reference to him

Planet-ception...that joke actually sounded funnier in my head.

But as for themes, I think stuff like time-travel (this might be a bit of an extreme, but nevertheless a sci-fi cliche), cryogenic technology (Demolition Man, Star Wars), strange off-worldly gadgets (Transformers' All Spark, Indiana Jones' Crystal Skull, Independence Day's Alien Space Ships) I can go on and on.

But yes cliches in this game would be a nice mix and good humour. But I think the slightest and maybe subtlest hint or reference would make it ever more fun to find

 

I'd like to see the red/blue pills make an appearance somewhere, maybe in a quest, or as buff items.

 

basically the Goa'uld. sure they didn't have animal heads but it was the motif of their soldiers and they were the Egyptian gods.
