What do you always keep in your toolbar?

    In my toolbar I generally always have:
    1. First Tab
      1. A common spear (Flurry)
      2. A common shortsword and flashlight
      3. A common machine pistol and flashlight
      4. A common sniper rifle (Piercing Shot)
      5. Bandages and Medkits
      6. Torches
    2. Second Tab
      1. A common spear (Flurry)
      2. A common shortsword and Grappling Hook
      3. A common machine pistol and Grappling Hook
      4. Twin common machine pistols
      5. Bandages and Medkits
      6. Torches
    Sometimes I'll switch out the weapons in the fourth slot with things like:
    • A common shotgun (Shrapnel Bomb)
    • An uncommon or rare assault rifle (Explosive Burst)
    • An uncommon or rare rocket launcher (Guided Rocket)
    How about you?

    I always keep two separate types of Healing items in the first slot, Whatever random assortment of weapons I am using in bars 2 through 5 and normally a capture pods in the last slot.

    In the secondary hotbar I use it only for building supplies and furniture.

    I like topics like these. Interesting to see what people use for their load outs.

    My load out is generally a 'slots that I use for specific things are used for whatever until I have the item.' It's like this;

    ►FIRST TAB
    1) My primary melee weapon.
    2) My primary hunting/ranged weapon.
    3) L: Rope ||| R: Flashlight
    4) L: Torches ||| R: Flashlight
    5) Is where I =keep all health regen items in a system like this;
    L: Salve ||| R: Bandage
    L: Bandage ||| R: Medical Pack
    6) My mining tool. I hate the matter manipulator. I hate how weak they made it and I hate how tedious it is to upgrade. So, I use picks and drills supplemented by mods.​
    Usually a honed pickaxe, rarely drills as i rarely find them. (honed via a personal unreleased mod of mine)

    ►SECOND TAB
    Here is where everything goes for me. Generally speaking
    1) Is usually the same as First Tab's, or an alternative melee/ranged weapon, but usually the same as first to prevent a sudden 'oh no I need my main!' panic moment.
    2) Alternative ranged weapon, always.
    If said weapons are one handed, it tends to be either I dual wield two of them or I use it with a flashlight in the other hand.
    3) Tends to be the same as first tab, Some combo of a L item combined with a R Flashlight.
    4-6) Anything goes. I don't have a specific thing for these, usually they're building materials or other misc. items I feel I'll need on the field.
    For example with Customizable Shuttles, (6) Tends to be the shuttle controller pod.
    And that's about it! o:

    My first tab is for exploration and combat, and holds my Violium Broadsword, assault rifle, Aegisalt Bow, ice / healing staff and healing consumables, as well as an empty slot for miscellaneous use.

    My second tab is for building, and holds whatever building materials I'm using at the time. Usually dirt, Outpost blocks and glass.

    I rarely use the secondary hotbar. I've got things down pretty good...

    This is the day-to-day stuff. Covers most contingencies I find. Dirt is for marking warp points and closing off monster venues. The Doomcannon is really only there if I can't be arsed to sword up something. Bow because supposedly it gives a slight increase in monster trophy drop rates?

    If I'm digging, the critter-catcher gun tends to get replaced with the Ore & Cave Detectors.

    Sword tends to stay near the digger cuz, well, I do a lot of excavating. Might move the recovery items to the first pairing so they're slightly quicker to reach in combat.

    I don't use the secondary toolbar.

    Usually, I use 1 for sword, 2 for a gun,3 for flashlight and rope/grappel, 4 for healing, 5and six are used for food,capture pod, pistol, rope, flashlight, or vehicle pods

    I use both of tabs for D.I.Y.
    Murders, that is.
    And explosions x)

    I always keep: Two pet capture pods of my favorite, leveled up pets. Two good two handed swords with the highest DPS, the space plasma rifle, aegisalt bow, one has a leveled up vine whip and dragon head pistol I use for capturing pets, and I have the solarium laser sword and solus katana in there as well. Lastly, I keep the two highest tiers of healing items in one of the slots.

    I have pretty much the same thing. my first bar never really changes.

    1: ore/cave detectors.
    2: Grapple-hook and minkong rocket thing.
    3: RPG.
    4: main weapon, Shotgun.
    5: Fire sword you get when you complete Nuru's Arena quests.
    6: Assault rifle.

    Again, second bar is for building mostly, also anything misc that won't fit in the first one.
    The only thing that (usually) stays is my bug net.

    first toolbar is just what weapons I want that day to use, and a slot for blocks and heals. Secondary tooldbar is used for either my roleplay set or for building.

    I tend to do this:

    TAB 1
    -1 & 2: Sword
    -3 & 4: Assault Rifle
    -5: Salves (bandages in late-game)
    -6: Bandages (medkits or nanowraps in late-game)

    TAB 2
    1 & 2: Sniper Rifle
    3 - 6 Usually empty, for temporary items I need on-the-go.

    across all my characters i have a broadsword of some kind in the first slot, left bandage and right medkit in the second slot, past this point its pretty random.

    A matter Manipulator, painter tool, wiring tool, and scanner tool. They're kinda stuck there. :^)
