Is there a formal term for mods that add slots for custom races? There seems to be a few mods that do this yet have different names. I would like to search for them all so I can compare but I don't know what keyword to use.

They seem to be referred to as Character Extenders. Searching for "character extender" in the Steam workshop provides five options, two of which are language variants. The other three provide different numbers of extra slots. "Extender" by itself didn't get any additional useful hits.
