(Sorry for the rather newbishness of the questions, really don't know too much about the multiplayer aspect of the game and how it's normally done ) On a side note, I've been working on a rather basic wooden base, which can easily be upgraded to other materials and space, which I may post pictures of... If I can get it all finished in time.
You'll be able to use existing characters, or create new ones. I'd suggest using an existing one, since the Spawn planet is the same for everyone, and it'll get stripped of resources pretty fast.

I have a question concerning the server. Once it's up, could we send our home planet files for you to place into the universe folder? I think it would be cool if we could show each other what we've built, and all in the same universe.
I think that's a great idea, and once the server gets up, i'll start accepting planetfiles for it, with the limit of one per user.
Hello, Spartacus here. I haven't seen ya'll in ages. I also want to know if I could 'create' a new character to become in the RP thread, I don't know if Cloud or any founder will accept it, but It's not a race in the actual game but rather my own creation. My profile picture has his physical appearance.
Im fairly certain nobody really cares, since this thread is dead, and so is the clan, since we really won't be active until the game comes out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
