Paillan just risks getting closer. Loker moves an inch and twiches

    "Pixelstomp?" Paillan says unsure
"Yo Paillan, what happened? Oh... Did I do that again?" Pixelstomp says after looking around
"Yeah... you okey men?" Paillan says
"I think so? well let's get back" Pixelstomp says
"Hum... make sure you don't become insane again" Paillan says
"I will try" Pixelstomp says and starts walking. Paillan let's him pass and follows him from a distance

Every step with his right leg sent pain shooting through his body, and he was running on empty. He needed rest soon, preferably sleep. He never noticed Cloud looking back at him, even when Dark was staring directly ahead. Dark was in a bad way, and he knew it, but it was easier to just keep following the others blindly while he fought back the thoughts and memories of his past. They were creeping in the back of his mind, and he could remember bits and pieces before he pushed them back.

    The sound of chanting
The smell of cooking flesh, some times animal, sometimes human
The crack of a whip lashing against those deemed for punishment
The lash of the whip against him when he tried to run away
The taste of blood as he...

He felt the ground rising up to meet him as his leg gave way in the present time. His right arm darted out, catching him on the wall and stopping his fall, but sending pain shooting through it. "I'm fine." He panted rising up. "How much farther until... we reach safety?" He was putting on a brave face, but he knew he must look a state.

"Sorry about that, Paillan. Loker tends to show himself at the worst times. But, I will take up your offer on drugs!"
On the walk back to the mines, Paillan and Loker both enjoy shrooms.

"Well, we've had minor attacks the entire time the facility's been open, they've just been contained. Spooky stuff, id'is, but things started tah' get serious right 'round the time the lower branches were opened. Ah' was at ground zero, y'know--Anyways, we're 'ere." Armedes responded, before pushing another panel away, revealing a well-lit room containing a handful of miners that had survived the attacks. Armedes continued, "As I was sayin', these things have been 'round these parts since before I showed up, which was a couple months ago. Make yer'selves at home, talk to the crew, but I'll be by the door n'case you want ta' head back out."

Scar looks around the room, seeing some miners with guns, and one that looked like an engineer. He sits down on an empty iron chair, relaxing for a bit. He pulls out a small bottle of beer, and enjoys it. "Damn, humans can make tasty stuff." He says to himself.

((Sorry I have'nt been on in a while, I'll try to stay more active :p))

  6. Paillan

    Paillan Existential Complex

Paillan and Pixelstomp walk along high and somehow manage to arrive with the same group at the same time the feeding time starts

"What took you so long?" Cloud asks

    "Shrooms" They both answer

  7. Dark Ruin

Food would have sounded good to Dark, but he was too exhausted to even think of eating at the moment. He grumbled a thanks to Armedes and managed to shuffle over to where the general sleeping area was and lie down before passing out. The last thing he remembered was that his injuries itched, unaware that it was probably the red stuff Scar gave to him getting to work on him again now that he could rest.

  8. Paillan

    Paillan Existential Complex

A few hours after going to sleep, Paillan woke up, the effects of the shroom ultimately gone. He stood up slowly with a headache.

"No more... shrooms... bah who am I kidding..." He said. He looked at his watch to discover that it was already dawn time in this solar system

"Hey guys wake up! it's morning! well... technically" He said, after all he could not see the sun.

"It's friggin 6 am Paillan" Could says bad humored "Stop yelling..."

"Our contract said we had to start on 4 am though" Pixelstomp suddenly said "Who was in charge of the alarm clock?"

"Umm... I dunno" Cloud said "we did not talk about that we just... went to sleep"

"WELL MOVE WE ARE 2 HOURS LATE!" Paillan said

"Yeez fine, hey" Cloud holds a horn "Scar! Dark! wake up!" while Paillan covers his ears

    "That... wasn't necesary" he said

"That's what you get from yelling at me and eating so mush shrooms" Cloud said

    "Tuché" Paillan answers

(( We're not in a Cave, Paillan, we're in the barricaded room that Armedes and the other miners have taken shelter in. ))

Cloud hastily sets to work preparing a quick meal for the group, making sure to subtly infuse the meals with a
compound derived from stimpacks which would slightly boost awareness, since they're likely to be sluggish when they wake up. The suit kept his body in a constant state of awareness, never quite relaxing his muscles. Various batches of chemicals injected into the bloodstream made sleep less of a necessity. Besides, he thought, it's probably a disadvantage for the entire squad to be unaware for several hours at a time. Handing out plates of generic egg-like nourishment to the others, Cloud takes inventory of their supplies and prepares to head into the mines.

Dark awoke feeling a hell of a lot better. He cautiously stretched his leg, and less cautiously once he realised that it was healed. He then removed the bandage that had been stuck on his head and reached up to where the cut should have been only to find it gone. He gratefully accepted the food given to him, not aware that his growling stomach should have been a cause for embarrassment. "Thanks." He said to Cloudhopper, before digging into whatever was on the plate.

    Name: Lief
    Age: 23 (biologically), ~90 (chronologically)
    Race: Floran
Background: Lief was seeded from the corpse of a great Floran warrior by a team of Apex scientists. Grown in a lab, he was the subject of many experiments into Floran intelligence. Lief received a formal Apex education, but was also kept in an artificial hibernation-like stasis for long periods of time between experimentation. Eventually, funding for the project by Big Ape was cut, and the research was abandoned. The Floran test subjects formed a community within the facility, and, although Lief was fascinated by his peoples' culture, he could not stand the primordial lifestyle so he escaped in an old Apex vessel.
    Main Weapon: Staff
Secondary Weapon: Dual-Wielding Shortsword and sheild/plasma machine pistol
    Tool: Wire Tool
    Strengths: Intelligent, resourceful
Weaknesses: Poor physical condition due to excessive hypersleep
    Mount/Companion: N/A
    Tech: Targeted Blink
Appearance: Purple skin with dark green foliage and a blood-red bulb atop his head.

Armedes set the plate down after the realization of not being able to consume food, due to him not having a mouth. He folded his arms before looking into the long tunnel, which leads to the main hallway.
"Ain't nothin' so far... Ah' reckon it'll be a couple'a days." He muttered to himself while nodding his head. A sudden thought in his head clicked before he checked the global time
Three, on the dot. The sun would be setting soon, so he decided to sneak up to the crashed flagship. After hours of scavenging, he finally acquired the gear needed for an FTL drive...All he needed now was enough fuel to get him to the space station "Imperia". The fuel required would be easily acquirable with the showing of these new arrivals. Perhaps, just perhaps, with their help the base can be cleared.
"Once ah' get to Imperia, I could start a new life. A good life, a'reckon. With this e're FTL, I could go into smuggling--no doubt I have the ship for it." He muttered, before closing the first panel into the safehouse.

Accepted! Welcome to the team.[DOUBLEPOST=1424445144][/DOUBLEPOST]Pixelstomp presses on his datapad and his chest slides open, allowing Williams to hover out.
"Go see if you can find out where those creatures are staying, be back before nightfall, okay?"
Williams squeaks and flies off. Pixelstomp looks hopefully as the guinea pig disappears into the distance.

Meanwhile, on a distant planet, Lief receives the notification informing him of his acceptance into the crew.
He hurriedly grabs some gear and beams up to his ship, trying to refrain from bringing too much. Organization has never been his strongsuit, and a cluttered inventory is no help to that.
Soon after closing his storage locker, Lief is alerted by his ship's S.A.I.L that Pixelstomp also included co-ordinates to the location of the Voyagers' flagship, which he promptly enters into his navigation system. He powers up the FTL drive, and shortly arrives in orbit of a small moon.
"Computer, find the flagsship and calculate itss orbit around the moon." Lief dictates into the cockpit microphone.
"Already done. Flagship location displayed on monitor." buzzes the S.A.I.L.
Lief attempts to communicate with the flagship, wondering if anyone is onboard. After a few minutes of impatience, he gets sick of waiting and decides to find out where everyone is himself. He hacks into the Apex-designed system with ease, and inserts himself into the communication network. Unsure of whether anyone can hear him, he sits up, respires his muscles, and clears his throat before hissing clearly into the mic...
"Thiss iss Lief-Sol Colit, reporting for duty."

Armedes walked through the dark moon-base, eventually standing in front of a large loading bay door. Above him, red lights would flash, signifying that the emergency power was active. With a slip of his hand, he opened up the large door. As the door opened, steam and smoke poured from the old hydraulics inside of the door. He stepped inside, then closed the door behind him. After a quick examination of the power wiring, he found out that the Loading Bay used different generators that had not been used in awhile.
With the flick of a switch, the lights in the bay turned on, revealing a KR-TB light freighter, which was in decent condition, excluding a few minor discolorations between types of metals. The vehicle was mostly red, except where in a few places the metal was orange. Armedes had tried his best to keep the ship in a main color, or at least a pattern between the orange and red. Eventually, he had stripped the entire hull, then replaced it with a mixed metal, being a reddish-orange. Unfortunately, the mix wasn't quite even, so it was more of a red than an orange.
"There's the ship I've been workin' on fer a couple'a months now. Finally got the las' piece to get 'er functioning...just gotta set this FTL." He muttered, before opening the cargo bay doors. As he entered the ship, the SAIL he had custom-built in the months before the first major attack from the pink beasts that now walked around the planet's surface(as well as the unsealed parts of the base).
"Welcome back! It's been 38 days, 14 hours and 39 seconds since you last powered up the ship!" His formless SAIL bot spoke, before the lights inside the ship turned on, revealing a decent sized room full of crates, leaving a small pathway into the next room.
As he walked, Armedes spoke to the AI, checking up on the hull integrity and the status of the various modded additions to the ship. Finally he reached the deck, where panels had been strewn around in order to be able to reach the area in which the main FTL system belongs. After many hours of work, the device finally had finally been in place. With the work completed, he sat back in the Captain's chair and fell asleep. The ship's lights dimmed and the hangar lights turned off.
Soon, he would be able to leave this now-doomed rock and return to the Imperia.

As the crew finishes up eating and prepares to head off to the mines in search of the strange creature that's been attacking miners, Cloudhopper receives a message on the Comms network, one which appears to have been transmitted from a smaller ship in orbit around the moon they were currently on, if the suit's interface was any indication. "Thiss iss Lief-Sol Colit, reporting for duty." Running a scan through the flagship's personnel database, Cloud remembers an applicant, skilled in several recently discovered fields of biotechnology and engineering. "I see you got the coordinates, Lief. I'll set up a Beacon so you know where to beam down to in order to meet up with the rest of the team. We could use some advice on some sort of alien we're facing." He says. Hopefully, having Lief around is going to provide some answers when they actually understand what's attacking the miners.

Armedes woke up in a sudden flash as the SAIL bot woke him up after what seemed like hours. "Wake up! You shouldn't stay here for this long, the other miners are clumsy!", the AI spoke. Armedes' corona flashed different shades of grey and black before returning to normal. "Damn, SAIL, don'cha think ah'd r'ember somethin' like that? Anyhow, I've got things covered. 'Bout a day ago some folk crashed. Lead 'em over to the hideout. Now they're takin' care of 'em while I disappeared unnoticed." He spoke, standing up and stretching. "Anyways, ah' think it's about time we gave ya' some sort of physical form. I was thinkin' we'd go for a Novakid erra Human. 'Course, with a form, you'd need a name. Somethin' catchy." He spoke, before opening up the AI panel.
"Hm...I'd prefer human of the two offered species. It can be changed later, though, that is, if need be." The now aware droid continued, "As for a name, I can't quite think of anything--though I will be thinking about names for awhile." Without warning, a slightly transparent blue screen appeared before Armedes. "Yah know, Sail, ye'can pick how you look on y'er own, if ye' want." Armedes offered, before sitting back down into the chair, moving the light-screen with him. "Hm...okay. Though I'm not sure what to pick! So many options!" The now-human AI replied, before the blank template appeared in front of Armedes. "Damn, I got a really good deal on this 'ere ship!" Armedes exclaimed in response to the now-appearing SAIL, before continuing. "Aie, I think Ah've found a name. How'bout Amii?" He offered, before the basic facial expression of the genderless AI changed to one of contemplation. "Suppose we do settle for that name, would I have to keep it in the future?" The Human-like being replied.
Before Armedes could reply, the AI's light-form turned blurry, before re-appearing as a fair-skinned woman in an Apex Specialist outfit. Amii's height was just about 5'8", with 6" hazelnut colored hair. Her eye color was a light green and she stood with a sense of power.
"Well, tell me, what do you think?" She spoke, before doing a small twirl. As Armedes began to talk, the lights inside of the Docking Bay turned red, as the power generators had run out. "Amii, ah'll be back in a wee bit, gon' find why the generator's broke." He bade farewell, before grabbing his plasma-revolvers from his inner coat and walked outside. As he reached the generators, the lights started to dim even further.
He grabbed a handful of fuel cells from a pouch on his belt, then proceeded to feed them to the generator. Out of nowhere, Amii appeared from a wrist-comm that hadn't worked in quite some time. "Hello again!", the miniaturized hologram greeted, causing Armedes to jump. "So, I see you fixed the generators--perhaps you should go back to the base, it's been awhile." She continued, before dimming her lights down to a faint glow. Not like it mattered, as Armedes was quite literally made of a glowing core and a non-burning fuel source around the core. Then plasma.
Armedes walked back to the hideout with little trouble from the fleshy beasts. Odd he thought, before entering the base once again.

    "Hey that's me!" Pixelstomp says

"No no Pixel, you are the expert killing them. but not identifying them" Cloud says

"Why the hell do we need to know what they are? we just kill them!" Pixelstomp says

"That's the spirit budy!" Paillan says "Sadly though we can't leave such a mess now since we are late for work, and Leif is even more late"

"Yes, well, what are we suppose to do while we wait? nothing? our bosses will kick the ass out of us if we don't start moving" Pixel stomp says

"He is right cloud sir" Dark says "Which are your orders?"

"you might be right..." Could says "Okey,Pixelstomp, you go in the front with your meele weapons, Scar, Dark and I go in the middle with our ranged weapons and Paillan closes the group with meele again in case we get attack from the back"

"What about Leif?" Scar asks "He won't find us here when he arrives"

"We will leave a message to him. Now let's roll!" Pixelstomp says

After disabling his microphone, Lief waits for a few seconds and, not receiving the prompt reply he expected, starts to his personal room to relax.

Lief is woken by a sudden burst of static from the speakers. It continues on for a few seconds, settling down just before someone starts to speak.
"I see you got the coordinates, Lief." They say.
"Must be someone from the crew." Lief mutters to himself.
"I'll set up a Beacon so you know where to beam down to in order to meet up with the rest of the team. We could use some advice on some sort of alien we're facing." The message ends.
Lief's S.A.I.L informs him it was sent right after he dosed off.
"Why the hell didn't you tell me earlier?!" Lief screams.
"I did not want to wake you." His computer responds.
"These Floran AI's are just the worst…" he mutters under his breath.
"What was that, Lief?" His S.A.I.L inquires, with an eerily threatening tone.
"I said th…" he pauses for a moment and remembers an old human movie he once watched about a murderous ship AI.
"Uhh never mind. Can you find Cloudhopper's beacon and set up a point for me to beam down?"
    "I'm afraid I can't do that, Lief." The once-fearless Floran's eyes widen.
"I'm just kidding, and I've already locked on to the beacon. Just step on the pad and I'll send you down"
Lief steps on the pad and the teleportation sequence commences. He lands on a barren, dusty flatland, the only outstanding feature an entrance to a mine. A note lies in the beacon's dish. "Lief, we've already entered the mine. If you arrive before we return, you can wait here, but we are facing an unknown alien and we'd like the help of a creatures expert. We hear you can get the job done, so if you're up to it, try and catch up to us." it reads.
Lief grabs his staff and rushes into the facility, quickly following the trail of dead mutants. hoping to find the group. A few minutes later, he spots five figures at the end of a metal hallway.
"You know I'm a biotechnologist, not a xenobiologist, right?" Lief yells towards them, before charging up his psi-staff and turning around to decimate a wandering mutant.

Armedes stood inside of a nearly-empty hideout. He scanned the room many times, checking to see if even one of those crashed people was inside. Nothing.
Well, shit...no more late nights building on the KR-TB. The ship he had dubbed the Aoi Nehan. He climbed into a slightly elevated crevasse, where he watched the miners in their day-to-day inside of the base.
As if without warning, his comm-watch flashed to life, and that friendly little Humanoid appeared. "Hi again!" Amii greeted, as cheerful as ever(and then some).
"Ah, it's you..." Armedes yawned, considering his rude awakening in the Loading Bay, "S'like ah' won't be back in the shop fer 'while. S'pose you'll have to maintain the ship for a bit." He continued, while sharpening two scalpels he had set aside in a small medkit.
"Oh boo," Amii pouted, before continuing. "Just when your schedule changes, it goes back to spending all of your time messing around inside of this base." The tiny AI quickly disappeared. Armedes fell into a deep stasis.
