Modding Help Villagers and guards muted?

    Hi all! I've gotten a rather hefty bundle of mods installed in my game currently, but ran into an odd problem. Plain NPC villagers (And agarans) will not speak to any of my characters, vanilla race, or modded. Guards will not either, and further, guards ignore me when I have a drawn weapon. Oddly, merchants still speak just fine. I would be greatly appreciative if someone knew the reason behind this!
    Mod list is as follows:

    (Note, the copyFN.bat file just let me get a nice and compressed list of everything in the folder, it's not a permanent fixture of the mod folder)

    Sounds like something may be trying to overwrite the vanilla npc files. I'd check your starbound.log for any errors first to see if that points you in the right direction. Otherwise your best bet is to remove your mods one-by-one until the error goes away to pinpoint which mod is the problem.

    Alright...Looked through the log file, and got some very odd results. I'll post the errors I found below.

    Alright, trying it without the celestar, avikin, or orcana races, no longer produces the NPC database error, but it still hasn't fixed the NPCs. I also sw that when I entered town, "[20:25:17.471] Error: Exception caught loading asset: /dialog/guard.config, (AssetException) Could not read variant asset /dialog/guard.config" appeared.

    Edit 2: Found the issue! It seems the Viera mod's patch to the guards flips the whole NPC speech system out, removing the mod lets villagers and NPCs talk again. Putting back the other race mods had no ill effects (though the errors still show...)

    Yep, there's a file in my current uploaded version that has an extra "value" in it that caused them to go silent. I had no idea that it was also making other races go silent. I'll upload a fix >_< Sorry!
