Hailing from a forbidding world, the Crowned Wailer's terrifying visage and haunting calls have inspired many horror-writers in in their work.
Despite the impressive looking dentition, this creature is primarily a fungi-herbivore subsisting on the large fungus webs and plantbuds that it digs from the ground. It is known to charge at people using yellow flashlights, mistaking them for a rival Wailer's bioluminescent eyes.
