I just hope I can get back orange Derrick with this.. I miss you old pal... So how does this work? Is it random? Or can we select the parts to generate.

 

You can select the parts or randomly generate with the randomise button, this is an early version however, only 5 colours are available, I hope to add more colours and monster pieces now that starbound is out

Any chance of ever getting a .jar or .app version for non-Windows users? Or am I stuck using Wine?

 

This is made in game maker 8.0, so I think I'm gonna need to convert it using game maker studio, (that's how it goes, right?)

This is amazing. Good work. Now guys, is it just me or have most of these parts not been implemented into the actual game?

 

Turns out the devs changed the tall monster generator so it worked with the "evolution" of baby bipeds to adult bipeds, maybe they'll bring it back in v1.0, same with the quadriped parts, I think anyway

 

So... Our monsters can evolve now?

 

By evolution I mean growing older, excuse the confusion

 

Yeah, that's what I meant too. I currently have problems with baby creatures. I find it very strange that there are entire planets of baby creatures and no adults.

 

I have all of the in-game parts and monster palettes compiled into a single file in GIMP. I've been using it as my own creature-creator, I could share it if it would help with this creator. Goodness knows it's kind of a pain to use the way I've been doing it.

 

It's missing a fair amount of parts and colors, which is unfortunate, but still, fairly amusing.
