    Welcome to TBN!
Today we will be telling how horrible volcanic planet generators are.
First, we are coming with SNOW ON VOLCANIC PLANETS.
    ???
    what?
    why snow on volcanic planets
    nevermind
better info: GRASS ON VOLCANIC PLANETS
    WHY
WHY GRASS AND SNOW ON VOLCANIC PLANETS
    nevermind
    its end of TBN!

Well snow would make sense if the planet followed a cycle like the planet in Riddick

Laws of physics actually such a planet could never exist, because the surface wouldn't have time to cool down. It takes a lot of time for objects to cool down :).

Laws of physics don't prevent this. The planet could just have a low rotation or be tidal locked

A planet rotating fast enough to have constant heat on one side at that kind of pace wouldn't cool down like mercury does. Mercury rotates very, very slowly, so the side not exposed to the sun has a lot of time to cool down. There is also little if no no air or atmosphere on mercury, assuring heat can escape the planet very easily on the cold side.

A planet like the one in riddick has an atmosphere, so thus it's going to have things like convection on it's surface. The hot side will contribute to the heat of the colder side. Likewise it can take a good number of hours for rock to cool down enough for someone to safely run across it. It takes about 2-3 hours for concrete on the streets of Rio Rancho New Mexico, or Albuquerque New mexico, to cool down at night time after a hot summer day.

It'd take far, far longer for rock heated to incendiary temperatures to cool down and the planet(can it even count as a planet?) day cycle seems far shorter than a few hours.

And a planet spinning as fast as showing in game would rip itself apart. Point being, real world logic doesn't apply to game worlds. And having a planet that is mostly how and has some snow is indeed possible.

Seeing how you can circumnavigate planets in this game, snow and grass biomes could be on the poles of volcanic planets. You are walking over the pole when you walk through that biome
