Hi, I'm here from this reddit thread. I'm the one who can't get Get Dressed to work. The dresser would be invisible, but I could still access the menu by pressing C. When choosing bottoms, the numbers would skip all around (like it would go 6, 17, 21, 40, 16, 5) but no new clothing would show up. Same with shoes, etc. And it randomly changed my characters eyes to brown? I tried the latest version and the same errors are happening. Here is my error log. Thank you for referring me here!
Done. Same thing is happening. I attached the latest error log and I can try and take a video showing you what's happening, if that helps.
@annallamma Does the folder at /Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/Current/lib exist? If so, please post a screenshot.
Yes, it's there. Its huge though. Lots of stuff in it. Let me know if there's a particular file name you're looking for.
@annallamma The file you need is there. How do you launch the game (e.g. do you launch it through Steam or a shortcut)?
I have a shortcut on my dashboard (looks like a little chicken), but it opens through Steam (I purchased the game through Steam). But since I have SMAPI (I have 2 aesthetic mods that work with no problem), another program opens when I launch the game (something orange with a G I think?)
@annallamma Try this: Open the Terminal app. run these two commands: Code: cd "/Users/annalammers/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS" ls -al Post a screenshot of what that outputs.
@annallamma Interesting. Try this next: Run these commands in a terminal: Code: cd "/Users/annalammers/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS" ./StardewValley Close the game when it launches. Run these commands in a new terminal: Code: cd "/Users/annalammers/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS" ls -al Post a new screenshot of the output from step 3. Attach your StardewValley file (the one with no extension).
I can't find the StardewValley file. The only one with that name is a folder, and the application icon, but it won't let me attach that. When I search "Stardew Valley", this is what pops up:
@annallamma It should be here: /Users/annalammers/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS/StardewValley.
I found the file, but the site won't let me upload it. It gives me this error: The following error occurred: The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension.
@annallamma Right-click on the file, and you should have an option like 'compress' which should create a file called StardewValley.zip. Upload that one instead.
Here are screenshots of when I open the file in Chrome: Edit: just saw your reply. I'll do that too, one sec
@annallamma You have an old version of the SMAPI launcher. Did you update SMAPI manually by any chance? Try downloading the latest version of SMAPI and following these instructions to update it. Does that fix the error?
THAT WORKED!! I don't know how I installed SMAPI last time (in May) but this version seems to be my friend. You are a genius, thank you so much for taking all this time and helping out dumb ol' me. Seriously, I really appreciate it. If you're ever in the D.C. area, I'll buy you a drink
