Scary stuff in starbound

Hi . I follow starbound for several months and i wonder about some stuff .
Starbound looks very peacefull and colorful . You know, penguins for example

I wonder if there will be any scary things in starbound . Like you walking in the dark cave with your pistol and torch and bam, you've been killed by unknown alien from nowhere. Something like that .


What is your opinion? There should or shouldn't be stuff like this ?

You might get attacked from something from the dark, but only when the lighting is bad.

 

here's the guidelines for the starbound side quest suggestion thread:

1. One penguin-related idea per person.
2. Try to keep your thoughts constructive. Flesh them out, give them some depth - we're looking for at least a paragraph.
3. We might end up reworking your idea for a better plot tie-in, and we might not be able to tell you about it. By posting here you acknowledge that it's cool.
4. We're mostly looking for lighthearted themes. If you want to have a genocide allegory, it'd better be as good as Nabokov!

Now this might apply only to side quests, but yeah, starbound isn't a scary game by any means; if you want a scary game, try lone survivor; it got the 8-bit art, and it's pretty scary.

Now by scary, do you mean old wrinkly people scary, family reunion scary, or getting your report card scary?

We had cute bunny's in terraria! but we still could kill them. maybe the same applies for the penguins!

Awesome ! I would see stuff like this in starbound, i love creepy games

 

What about the "Bad Moon" mob? It's pretty creepy. And if at least one mob is creepy, there must be more creepy stuff, otherwise the mob will look out of place...

Ok so im thinking, walking around in a dark cave with your flashlight and weapons, and then you get attacked by an amnesia-esque monster attacks you from behind.

 

You mean like dark horrors beneath the surface?
