Saves Location?

    I really need to know the save game location so i can back my character up. i have alot of stuff and i dont want to lose it *got to hard cobblestone layer and have energy dash and almost full iron armor and have the distress beacon*

    you realize this is phase 1 of the beta, correct?

    they specifically tell you to not get attached to your character - when the client updates, there is a good chance that character will no longer be compatible

    Ahh ok thanks, I thought that maybe if i had saved the character it would still be compatible with later updates.

    Still, good to know in case you need to port the data. Player data is stored here:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\player

    You can find this at ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Starbound/player on OSX.
