Well, i don't know but you have this mod that can reduce a lot the light of light sources like the natural glow that players have or even remove it which increase a lot the immersion.
i already hav Tanz Lighting Overhaul, but i'm looking for a mod that makes night not hav any ambient light
Look in the Steam workhop and search for "Tanz." He has a mod that specifically does what you're looking for: Eliminate light from night.
I wasn't sure if there was. But then I peeked into the .biome files and seen "skyOptions" that contain variable sky settings. And in those settings "nightLightColor" : [56, 17, 17] etc. "nightLightColor" : [0, 0, 0] would fullfil your needs. Probably what that mod does. I wander if Tanz's mod covers FU biomes, etc? Seems you'd need to do that on a biome per biome basis after all.
Which one is that? I only saw mods that only change the light source but nothing related to biome lights.
When you have any of their mods up, look somewhat up top - right above the mod's title in large font - there is something like Starbound> Workshop > Storm_UK's Workshop etc Substitute Storm_UK's for whatever mod author. If you click on that "<author's> Workshop", you'll get all their public workshop mods(for the current game anyhow). You'll be taken to a page like this http://steamcommunity.com/id/bk3000/myworkshopfiles/?appid=211820 and if by chance you wanted to see ALL their mods(for all games), delete the ?appid=211820 http://steamcommunity.com/id/bk3000/myworkshopfiles/ Thus you'd also see my simple "mod" for Kenshi too. That way, just find any of Tanz's mods, and you will be able to find the one you want.
Okay, so it doesn't do that exclusively as I thought it did. Seems my memory was off. But it would have a similar effect, from what I understand. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=736432438 Seems this would do the trick just fine, wouldn't it?
That's a different setting altered. That mod would also reduce the effective range of lights(though air, not solid tiles). So one could prefer it, or not. I "think" Tanz does the opposite for the "lighting overhaul" mod. Where light travels further in air, but doesn't travel through solid blocks. The biome light edits would prevent background light from occurring where it otherwise would - namely where there is no wall, or where the wall is somewhat transparent. I personally think it would be a better compliment to use this http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=736435035 and http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=732721392 (or perhaps the overhaul mod) with the Code: "nightLightColor" : [0, 0, 0] on all the biomes. That way the ONLY light is from actual lights you placed, or lights you are equipped with/holding. I think it would be atmosperic.
Tanz' Lighting Overhaul mainly makes everything a pinpoint light, but it does hav extra, standalone options, none of which is what i'm looking for. as i said earlier, tho, i got it myself already
