Organized list of all Planet / Biome / Dungeon types and locations

So, this is my personal list of where everything is found as of Spirited Giraffe. Figured I ought to share it, even if it isn't very pretty yet, because so many people are looking for it. I might make a visual diagram at some point.

Remember to check the official wiki if you want more specific info on anything here. I try to update that as best I can. Or if you are looking for specific coordinates, check the stickied coordinates megathread.

The stuff in ( ) is either the type of Ocean planet or what that biome is called in the assets (and therefore could be called on the wiki still, sadly).

Don't see USCM Bases on that list, are they in Spirited Giraffe?

It is in Spirited Giraffe yes. I just had them listed under their names in the assets, which were "Human Bunker" and "Human Prison".

I changed "Human" to "USCM" in both of those names to avoid confusion, thanks for the heads up. (USCM Bunkers are found on all tier 2+ planets by the way)

I also added Slime Caves under Risky planets, forgot they got added in Spirited Giraffe.

Oh, I just didn't look under 'These dungeons are on ALL Tier 2 and above planets (except ocean planets):' Thanks!

Are asteroid fields out of the game?

I don't really care for barren planets to build on. I generally don't build big open house towns and even if I did I'd still want some wildlife on the planet.

Nope, they can spawn in all star systems. They are a "planet" type that I erroneously left out though.

I have added mention of Asteroid Fields at the top of the biome/dungeon list. I moved Moon and Barren into a section with that, since those are in all star systems, not just tier 1.

I also added a full star system list, where you can get a sense of the tier/planet distributions. An interesting note is that tier 1 Lush planets only spawn as satellites. (Satellite means it spawns around another planet.)

Oh, and if any of you want this in reddit format, it is here. Still working on getting all of this information on the wiki somehow.

EDIT: On a closer look, I still can't find any. Could you maybe provide me with coordinates?

Fully agreed. Barren Planets are a thoughtful thing for the Devs to do, but they're also BORING to look at. :)

Based on the info in the OP, I wonder if my dream can ever come true for my Home World... a Size 2,000 Blue Moon...? & When I say Blue Moon, I literally mean a Moon that is blue in color through & through, or better yet, Cobalt Blue... though Cobalt Blue might not be possible. Cobalt Blue, & to a lesser extent, normal blue, is my fav color. Moons can be quite purdy to look at & can have some sweet viewing to behold while on them. :)

Barren planets are barren, who'da thought? (I kid. Its also why I don't build on them, the environment sound is grating to too much floor to remove.)

I'm surprised to see asteroids have music, and am glad mine doesn't, makes it unique. Even though the rock is harder, there's nothing but space for vast stretches.

Yo, Varixai, you can find Pineaple, Sugarcane and Bananas (albeit before harvestable stage) on Jungle worlds. Without this info, people are getting confused on where they can find Sugarcane...

For claifications' sake. "Size" is the number of blocks it takes to circumnavigate. Is that correct?
