Announcement Online Character Creator update, part deux!

Haha, whoops. Yes, I optimized a lot of the images for the chargen for loading speed, I didn't know that actual image was used there... I'll see about getting a fix in order.

EDIT: Nice touch with the startup "beam-me-down" animation.

 

That really shouldn't matter, though. This smells odd. If it happens again, please screenshot it.

 

Also, theres a few bugs with colouring shirts.

 

AT LAST! the wait is over! funny fact: i said earlier today, couple of hours ago "I hope they update the char creator soon!"

 

Here's the color selections that don't work

Humans-skin, shirt, undy, and pants
Avian-Shirt and pants
Apex-Only shirt
Floran- skin, shirt, and pants
Fish people - Belly color, skin, pants, and shirt
Robot- paint, shirt, and pants

Also there's two "Create Character" buttons on the main forum page, one on top of the other.

 

And all of a sudden, we can all .gif our own characters...

Having played with it a little, I have to say I'm not a huge fan of the new colour pallet, the default colours on a male human makes it look odd where his shirt and pants are, there's no belt (it's shirt 01 that's odd when they're both the same colour.) And the green I used for my example gif's shirt is a little dark.
They're just petty things, that don't really matter, but...

SneakyEdit2: I also love the fact that when you switch race/gender, it doesn't return to default, now I can Rule 63 my characters much easier

Am I the only one that can't go on the Character Creator through the home forums page? The button isn't even there...

It's weird, though, 'cause I can still get to the character creator through a link like this...

Yeah, the sidebar link is undergoing some reconstructive surgery to fix an oops after I updated the chargen.

In other news, the issue where you name your mook and can no longer change any settings should now be fixed. Force refresh (ctrl+F5) or clear your cache.

My god, it's full of stars....

 

Would love to se a facial hair feature. Only 2 human hairstyles have beards. Me, I'd use hairstyle 50 with the beard from 25...
And does anyone else hear the slowmo jingle from the 6 million dollar man when scrolling through the poses?
