I'm running on OpenSUSE (KDE variant). When running starbound, I get no sound from it. The in-game options show nothing relating to choosing an auditory output.

I've looked for a log file, but I don't find anything. I'm unsure how to proceed.

I don't know enough about Linux to offer a solution, but I've been told that on Linux, the starbound.log is either in linux32\ or linux64\ instead of the root starbound dir.

    Found the log. Thanks @RvLesh

The log was incredibly long, but this seemed to be the only relevant part. So I cut the rest out. This was right at the beginning.

Okay so I found a bit of a workaround. It's a real pain though.

I tried launching starbound from launch_starbound.sh rather than from steam. The result: Sound. Great!
Then I tried to make a desktop shortcut leading to that file, and adding the shortcut as a non-steam game so that I could still have the overlay. The result: No sound. What.

It looks as though Steam is doing something here to mess things up, but I'm unsure what.
