    Hey guys,

I started building my own ship today and now I have the problem, that I don't know how to make the shipblock.png files. The Tutorials I found here aren't helping, because the only tell me what color is what.
But I need to know how I start. I found out that 1 pixel in the shipblock image are 8 pixel in the normal ship image.

So I first tried to paint the normal image read/blue/white/etc and then scale it, but that looks messed up and I don't think it would work. Is there a special program I should use? At the moment I´m using Gimp.

    Can someone pls help me?

It was a good idea to try to just paint over and rescale, unfortunately that's not how it works. Start off with a new image the scaled size (height and width of the original divided by 8) and start counting on your fingers

I use a grid behind my ship to help allign things, then once im done with the ship, I take the grid and color it as I need, then scale it down 800% with no interpolation. Done and done.
