    Summary:

    WIP Preview of my upcoming Botany mod.
    Currently:
    Adds new crops, crop related items, and recipes. Along with some machines to assist in the creation of these items.

    Future plans include:
    New plants/items, more of the science side of Botany, possible new NPC with quests, and map location.

    Background:
    -------------
    My Botany mod started from a personal interest in well, Botany. I like the crop growing mechanics, and decided I wanted to pretend to have an operation that involves creating/supporting a Botanical Garden.
    That also included a lot of new crops, and the creative freedom to do what I want with them. From growing some of my favorite plants, to coming up with novel ways to introduce new items(meats, and soon more) I've been wanting in my personal game.

    This is very WIP though. I have a lot more that I want added. More plants for that botanical diversity, and new uses for them. Especially, using them in ways that tie back into the science side of it.
    Every time I revisit this; my scope changes a bit. But, I've pondering the idea of adding a new NPC(director of the Botanical Garden), with quests; and the possibly of creating a visitable center.

    I have a good base set of crops/items/uses that need to be polished. And, I'm playing around with tIDE so I can figure out the new botanical garden I want to create.



    Overall, all the stuff I've currently added should work without crashing. But, prices/recipes probably need more balancing, art needs some work, and more. If you find any errors though; please report.

    I have a good base set of crops/items/uses that need to be polished. So while I'm taking a break from adding new items. I'm looking into learning how to work with Tiled. It seems to now support .tbins natively, and is cross-platform; so I won't have any trouble running it on Linux.



    Overall, all the stuff I've currently added should work without crashing. But, food still need buffs, prices/recipes need balancing, and more.
    I'm including a test save that I use. It has all my new items, a greenhouse full of the new crops, recipes already learned, and the resources needed to create & use the new machines.

      Smapi isn't loading it because it doesn't have a manifest. I've installed the prerequisite mods. Am I doing something wrong?

        Can you post your full smapi log? Sounds like an issue with SMAPI itself; perhaps a permissions issue or something.

          I've been spreading myself a bit thin working on some stuff for another game as well. But, I have a small update. I went ahead, and added buffs to the foods; modified the prices a bit. Though, the prices will probably need some more work.
          Added in a few items such as canned pineapples so I can make Pineapple Upside Down Cakes(the reason I added brown sugar.)
          Modified the meat synthesizer to give you pork instead of bacon; but put the pork in the refiner, and it'll give you bacon.
          Oh, and added a rose plant, and a Joja brand GMO Dandelion which I'm using to create latex(toss the dandelion in the crop processor) for some upcoming industrial use.

          I think that's everything. A bit small, but I'm still working on things.
