Mining

Hey i dont know if theres been any info about this yet but what do you guys think the mining will be like?

 

Orbital cannons... Mine the WHOLE PLANET at once.

 

There aren't many possibilities of how the mining mechanic could be TBH.
It'll be: Tool, makes hole.
Better tool, faster hole (or more hole).
They might try to add enviromental hazards too or hazards associated with mining, but that is basically it.

 

Probably similar to the way you would mine in Terraria.

I'm guessing you will start out like you do in terraria, except with a drill instead of a simple pickaxe. I can see getting very powerful mining devices later on, such as strip mining robots.

Well i ment like what the tools are or what they look like because seeing how this game is a bit more futureish i couldnt really picture just a normal pick as a mining tool.

 

that would be nice. im guessing there might be mining research in the research lab on your ship that will allow you to build robots like that with certain materials.

 

Just add some electrical shit too it and call it space pick.

 

I don't see how feces will make it futuristic

 

i hope they add some explosion mining tools like TNT and Dynamite

 

I want to be able to mine the ground with my fists.

 

hmmm I think you'd be better off playing minecraft than ...

 

Nah, I'm bored of Minecraft at the moment.

 

I just hope they give us "reasons" to mine and explore the underground of every planet and not just the surface. Like harder and rare enemies to fight / capture and shiny things to collect the deeper you go.

Maybe the character uses the league of the justice cannon to make the holes.
