Mac OSX Wineskin Attempts?

    Anyone know of a working SteamSetup.exe I can use? I haven't found any. Seems like everyone here uses one, right?

        Hey everyone! I found something interesting where using the Mac Driver instead of X11 will allow your game resolution to scale properly when resizing the window. Here are the steps to try this if you're experiencing similar behavior:

        IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE RESOLUTION BEING TOO SMALL/TOO FAR ZOOMED IN

        I found that using the Mac driver instead of X11 will allow the game to scale properly when adjusting window size. You can enable this by doing the following:
        1. Ensure that the game is closed fully. If it isn't closed, the change will not take effect
        2. Right-click the wrapper, click Show Package Contents, and double-click Wineskin
        3. Click Set Screen Options
        4. Check the box next to Use Mac Driver instead of X11 and hit done
        This lets the game scale properly for me when changing the window size and reduces the flickering in Steam to almost none. If this doesn't work for you, just uncheck the option and move along!

          Having trouble getting the GOG version to work on my Mac. I'll leave my logs here, getting blackscreen to crash in fullscreen. When I leave screen settings normal the game tries to open but fails to change the screen apart from saying stardew valley in the toolbar at top of the screen.

            Doesn't look like much is happening in those logs. Try reinstalling xna40 and dotnet40 in Winetricks and see if that helps at all.

                How do you install SteamSetup.exe on Mac, then? When I open it it says it's unsupported on OS X.

                  Thanks so much for doing this! I have successfully installed it on a 2010 Macbook, and it runs perfectly. However, it doesn't like my GPU on my late-2013 Mac Pro (AMD Radeon HD - FirePro 2300).

                    Just wanted to say thank you for the help getting this game set up on my brothers mac. Turned out it was just like you said, reinstalled those 2 things reran it and had no problems from then on. THANK YOU :D

                              I got SMAPI running by install .NET 4.5.2 using the installer (not winetricks). Note that you have to change "Windows Version" (in winecfg) to Windows 7 before installing .NET 4.5.2 and change it back to Windows XP to play the game. (I got crackling/popping BGM if I leave Windows Version to Windows 7.)

                                @KnightBaron Could you be a bit more detailed?

                                I went to winecfg, changed it to windows 7, ran the installer you linked manually verses winetricks, then changed back to windows xp...

                                I still crash on startup:

                                  @telgalad Also make sure that you check "Use Start.exe". Also, I don't know if this is related but instead of dotnet20sp2, I installed dotnet35sp1 (which include dotnet20sp2).

                                  To summarize, I ran winetricks in this order:

                                  msxml3 => directx stuffs => dotnet35sp1 (note that installation dialog automatically minimized to menu bar during the installation. just double click on the icon to bring it back) => dotnet40 => xna40

                                  Then run .NET 4.5.2 offline installer, install Steam and the game.
