Hey everyone! Update time - Summer Year 2 has come and gone and I've got some pictures for you. n_n

The house: Not a huge difference since you last saw it, I carried over most of the same decor and just changed the walls. Buuuut you'll notice my fancy new bedsheets! Thanks to some inspiration and assistance from @MoonlitBrenya I was finally able to get over my fear of trying an XNB packer/unpacker and I went in and edited my bed. The comforter is actually meant to look like the one I have in rl, it's kind of a big patchwork style, crushed velvet fabric, with tons of different colors and patterns. I found it in an antique shop a few years back and had to have it. Anyway, I scaled a photo of it way down to get the effect to look right, and green sheets because well...that's kind of the color scheme here. lol I might go in and do different colored sheets for each season. I also got my hands on a prismatic shard and completed the Community Center, so there's a shiny new trophy sitting in my bedroom now.


The farm: Looking absolutely breathtaking now that all the trees and greenery are fully matured. I really love the white roses that @eemie put on the buildings, especially where they kind of drape over the barn door openings. The seasonal variations for everything really makes the farm feel like it changes with the passing of time, it's very immersive. I relocated the stable up into the orchard (it just seemed like it would fit nicely there) and added a couple more silos next to the artisan shed. Also, Junimo huts! After finishing the CC I wasted no time getting Rasmodius's ink for him so I could invite plenty of cute little gumdrops to come live on my farm. n_n I have continued to build and upgrade the goat barns, and added another 16 goats to the herd.


Their names: Lenore, Clementina, Millicent, Amelia, Prudence, Lavinia, Wilhelmina, Mildred, Gertrude, Beatrice, Augusta, Constance, Victoria, Emma, Elizabeth, and Adelia. There's just something about old Victorian-era names that works so well for goats. n_n I sold my duck and once my pig is up to full hearts I'll be selling her as well. I would like to get a rabbit eventually just to finish off the shipping collection (I still need to ship a cloth and a rabbits foot) and I'm thinking I might eventually want to put a mill on the farm. All the buildings are so pretty I hate to miss out on any of them.

Right after this, the maker of the mod I use for my huts released a new version. I liked some things from the old one and some from the new so I went back later and edited the pngs, a little mix n' match to have my faves from both. Random news: When my first batch of melons matured, I got a giant crop! I've only had this happen once before, on my old save, with my pumpkin patch.


I finally settled on a good design for my greenhouse - I felt like I wanted more fruit trees so I put one of each in there (sadly, my mod doesn't allow me to grow them on the tile and I was already growing Ancient Fruit in the tree spaces over on the right, so I had to put them in the main garden plot). There's room for 40 each of whichever two crops I want to grow ahead of time, usually the ones I make wine out of. (Right now I'm just growing Starfruit.)


I decorated my Artisan shed as well - realizing that since goats are only milked every other day, I wasn't going to need as many cheese presses as I initially thought, so there was a big empty corner. I created kind of a little sitting area/workspace to hold the furniture and wallpaper catalogs. Sorta looks like you could just come in and kick back for a while, listening to the hum of the machines or the sound of rain on the roof.


Heading into Fall, my goal is to finish up with the barns and goat purchases, and upgrade the coop to deluxe for the rabbit. I may go ahead and do Qi's quests so I can gain access to the casino, but no other major plans. I'm still working on turning the town into a forest - many of the trees I planted last season are fully grown, and I've expanded into the desert now as well. I won't start Slime colonies until next Spring.

You can cringe as I buy and sell grape starters at least half a dozen times because my mouse is old and worn out and it keeps double clicking when I only mean to click once (I actually just bought a new mouse a while ago because I was getting tired of having issues), and also settle in and watch me redecorate my house and artisan shed for Fall. You may also notice some new lines from Seb - I've been tweaking his dialogue a bit too. (I know, I'm getting a bit power-hungry with the modding. lol)

Hey...I hope you don't mind me asking, but could you tell us what mod you used to get your paths the way they are? I'm in love with them, especially the stepping stones, and I'd be interested to know if I could use them in my game. My guess is that it comes with the Victorian buildings mod, but I want to make sure.

Hello everyone! I've finally finished Fall and managed to get all my screenshots put together, so here's the latest from Misthaven Manor. n_n

My house: I was able to really get into decorating this year. I've created enough items in my personal furniture set to have some stuff to work with and I've been making little tweaks here and there as I play. There was a couple things I really didn't like when I first decorated, so I swapped them out later on. I'm getting more familiar with editing the pixel art and I've got some really cool stuff to use in my next playthrough that I think you guys will like. ;D


The artisan shed got a Fall makeover as well. Notice the new butterfly art, courtesy of Mi's furniture set. I'm obsessed with butterflies so I couldn't resist. >u<



The farm: Completely taken over by goats! I sold my pig and added the last of my herd (one of the new goats was actually born on the farm) to my fourth deluxe barn, which puts me at 47 goats, one cow, four chickens, 13 junimo, and a horse.

The new goats' names: Tabitha, Harriet, Luella, Mabel, Rayne, Sadie, Lucy, Charlotte, Florence, Delilah, Primrose, Pearl, Juliette, Edith, Sophia, Chloe, and Olive.

Couple other fun things I grabbed photos of:

I didn't record my first day of Winter this time, it was late in the day and I wasn't feeling up to a stream, but I really wanted to get started on the new season. But don't worry, I'm sure there will be some streams at some point during Winter.

Proof of how much fun I'm having with the modding. Check out what I worked on today guys. You know how we're always saying we wish we could display those pretty gem nodes? Well....



I've basically just replaced a few of the chair sets. You rotate the "chair" to get all the items. I've finished with the gem nodes and I'm working on some more potted plants now. Because you know, you can never have too many houseplants.

I'm getting fairly comfortable with this stuff now, if you guys want me to make you anything let me know. Its good practice. (I'll probably only be able to send you pngs to add to your own set, since my personal set is a mishmash of several other people's work I can't officially release it, but I can give you the pieces I made.)

 

I sincerely hope mods are added to consoles. I think they would be fantastic! I get so jealous seeing all the PC players showing off their modded farms and such. And since I just got an Xbox One I think the mods on there would be better due to the limitations of PS4. Shame on you Sony.

 

Can you use a flash drive of your save file or something of that sort?
