What about error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

We use CentOS which uses openssl not libssl

    For CentOS try:
    yum install libssl

    Syntax42 Pangalactic Porcupine

I'm pretty sure I tried to install SteamCMD on CentOS before and ran into library issues. Long story short, it isn't worth the effort. Just use Ubuntu server.

You can always skip installing SteamCMD. I just copied the "assets", "universe" and "linux64" directories to my dedicated debian server, installed libvorbis and libpng and ran ./launch_starbound_server.sh without making any changes in any files. Works flawless for me.
