Building/Ship Let's See Your Ship

im still working on this ship but this is what i have so far!
(i downloaded a mod that gives novakid players floran ships when they start out. i love that greenhouse way too much)

 

was good if there's was glitch ship xD

 

While it's a novakid character since it's a floran ship I think the floran racial rules apply. Broadly as a species they do seem the type to take everything that isn't nailed down, including the people ... and then proceed to nail everything down themselves, again ... including the people.

 

I just like to think that my character stole the ship, aha

 

Had to happen eventually. At least one of my characters ships was going to be a planet destroying orbital cannon ... I just always figured it'd be the Floran.


Oh well, I suppose Avians seem the type for it as well.

Edit: While this is done for now every time I look at the overall shape I get more convinced there should be another section between the bridge and the actual cannon. I'll just revisit this later when I've actually got an idea what to do.

I should get back to building, but at the same time I'm waiting for the new update
I'm also still trying to find out if I can make a character's eyes glow.

So after a reshuffle of the upper area and a total redesign of the cannon along with addition of the lower section, I think I've fixed everything that was bugging me. Space Station "Damocles" is finished (I know the name's unsubtle but it gets the point across).



At the very least it's not completely top heavy any more, and the reactors being closer to the cannon makes more sense than being out on an easily targetable extremity.

 

It's very early, and far from finished, but shows the direction I will go to.
....did I say early? My hardcore savegame has gone on for over 200 hours... I guess I am picky in terms of crew.

The two largest (empty) rooms are completely reserved for future crew members and their entertainment.
I had built a room for my only current crew member (A Medic - the lass that seemingly spends all day watching TV on my inventor table station).
But she preferred to sleep in the medical bay instead of her new room (what a curious coincidence?)

I was playing Starbound while my best friend was watching by steam-broadcast. I came across a home in a Savannah, and just when I arrived, the owner was killed by bandits. That left his docile pet alone and without anyone to tend to it. So my pal ordered me to save the poor creature by capture pod

So now I got a giant pink crocodile happily running up and down the length of my ship. Hum.

Glad you enjoyed it. I used the Avali custom race and the MadTulips spaceship mod for the geometric hull.
