Lasers

lasers, lasers, lasers.... Everyone on here cant get enough of them but why! Laser cannons and saws and axes and turrets why is everyone so hooked on the idea of lasers?
I mean there is quite a bit of cool stuff lasers can do but the majority of the gear suggestions consist of some form of dangerous wavelength!

Because it's in space. It'd be like taking the 10ft wooden pole from a medieval setting, in a space setting it's a 10ft laser pole.

Well you have to admit there is nothing more satisfying than shooting a little innocent bunny with a huge laser beam. The real question here should be: Why aren't you hooked on lasers?

Lasers are a staple of modern Sci Fi, the game wouldn't be complete without some, but I understand your point, lasers aren't useful on everything....

I think some redonkulous Wavelength weapons would do this game some good,
the kind that vibrate something till it explodes

 

Or mass accelerating weapons, black hole guns, and always the og minigun.

There's such thing as laser axes, and mining lasers, and lasersabers hell why don't we make EVERYTHING LASERS! LASER ARMOR!

I think I would prefer a regular gun. Doesn't have to be a laser gun. Hehehe I will get an assault rifle and shoot me some aliens. I would also probably carry a melee weapon for when I eventually run out of ammo and get surrounded by pissed off aliens.

 

I think it's very likely to see one of them ingame, since there isn't much else you could do sci fi themed mining with, except some hightech drills of some sort.

 

I'd like a mech that uses a laser sword.

 

i'd love to see these, too, but i'm afraid we won't be seeing this kind of agile mech in the game. i suppose we will only see these.
