They can be pretty useful. You can use them to get a brahmin for fertilizer, a cat for settlement happines, and all sorts of other creatures for defense. Can be annoying to get the right bait for them, and settlements are apparently attacked by enemies if you keep one of them in a cage. But it's still a neat addition.

Also, I swear the cafeteria situation just keeps getting funnier.

Especially great when the settlers turn their heads to look as me briefly, as if to say "Why do you make us put up with this?"

Also note the bartender looking to the Deathclaw as if taking their order, and the Deatclaw at the soup dispenser.

Oh dear lord that is hilariousX3

Settlers: "hey are you gonna order already?!"
Deathclaw: *death stares and orders noodles*

On a side note my dear friend gifted me Elder Scrolls Online and we played a few hours(after the 3 days I spent downloading it)... its all right! the Stealing is pretty fun (until a guard finds out) and the game has been pretty entertaining with its quests and whatnot!

I'm considering building a couple of Yao Guai (which I totally didn't nearly spell as 'Yaoi Gui') cages, so the Deathclaws can hunt. But if they prefer noodles, then who am I to judge?

As for ESO... I don't know. I had no intention of getting it once it was revealed to have a subscription, so now I might take it seriously. But at the same time, I've got other games I'd like to try before that. I'm hoping to pick up Mass Effect Andromeda once this semester ends, and maybe get into Witcher 3 over the inter-year break. That, and I've never actually played an MMORPG on a serious basis before, so it'd be quite a change.

They're silently talking Deathclaws :V They're too civilized to "hunt", they would rather sample the water and fine noodles

to my surprise, ESO does not need a sub anymore, unless you want infinite inventory and dlc access without having to buy the dlc. As for MMOs goes I would NOT suggest playing much, ESO is very relaxed for an mmo, you can get away with it and play it as you would a normal game, except the fact it needs to be online... and the "server maintenance" can last 4-8 hours...

Oh man I really want to play Witcher 3, but I fear I will reach age 30 and still be playing it and be far for completion lol.

I haven't been able to get into ESO, I'm not sure why it just has trouble clicking with me (and I love tamriel). But if you guys all get on it and we did stuff as a group, it might be worth another shot, i dunno xD

Its super hard to translate an elderscrolls experience into an mmo, that's probably why.

I dunno, bro. You seem to really dislike Fallout 4 and referred to people who enjoy it as "tourists" (when they clearly are familiar with the series). That usually turns people off from having meaningful discussions. Maybe focus more on positives than negatives?

Psst hey... what does "cucked" mean? google is being confusing again...

I knew I should have bought that american dictionary when I had a chance...

    edit:
I am having a very hard time thinking of this game as an MMO, I run around, do my own things, I ignore whispers to join guilds and kill whoever wants to duel with me (3/4 victories) but other than that? I solo anything, I go anywhere, I gather mats, steal from npcs... open locked chests... its been a fun ride the last 4 days! Though if you are like me and white if your favourite colour... this game has a sick sense of "white" which is more like sand

further edit: bro discovered FO4, and has discovered things I missed! I must rerun and collect loot... oh and he almost stepped on 4 mines that I so deftly and magmanimously warned him about.

You probably won't find it in a dictionary, its slang.

    From KnowYourMeme:

    About
Cuck, short for “cuckold,” is a term referring to a man with a female significant other who engages in sexual activities with other men. Online, the term is often used as a pejorative to condescendingly describe a male who is sexually inadequate or sexually submissive.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe he was referring to the lack of response he was receiving.

That this thread for me lul
The franchise? Heh, you can imagine Casca's faring in the Eclipse >: )

No offense, but will you really be playing this in ten years? Or is it just a big bunch of fun that'll you'll unavoidably grow tired of and/or move on to the next Bethesda game?
Would it be hanged in the hipothetical video game museum, along its brothers (even 3 whatever)?
And by "tourists", I mean the people who it was marketed for. Maybe it's you, maybe not. There are worse parts of the fanbase, in either "side".

I'll try and throw some positives later, sure. But you have to see that "Pet Deathclaws LOL" and "Men do. Through the roads they walk. And mine... Has come to an end" aren't exactly cohabitating now.

Honestly, it just feels like you came here to belittle people for enjoying something you don't. Apparently, I can't even share some humorous experiences with friends without being labelled an example of a broader problem and subsequently getting compartmentalized into the 'them' that you obsess about.

I respect that you don't enjoy the game. It has plenty of flaws, as does Bethesda as a whole. But I came here to talk about the Fallout games, and share experiences with my fellow fans. Not label and compartmentalize. That's the sort of thing that makes me not want to talk to you.

i was trying to talk about NOT Fallout 4 rather the originals as it's the 20th anniversary and day 6 I'm participating in a podcast that any of you could join but eh. Also only did the them thing when asked to, lol

    ANYWAY

How's the mod situation? So far I've just seen the FROST mod that'd make me say "I should try it out". There's also this:

It looks a wee bit too ealry for that methinks, but I'd ebelying if I said that I won't try it if it reaches the playable state.

Wow. Didn't even realize that was a thing. Kinda unsurprising, though. The first major mod projects for every new Elder Scrolls game is to try and recreate another Elder Scrolls game.

Fallout Cascadia's another big one at the moment. Haven't heard from it in a few months, but last indications were that it was coming along nicely.

For something a little less ambitious in scope, Sim Settlements has caused quite a stir in the community. Might even try it myself sometime.

Edit: On a more general note...

    Heh. Hitbox porn.

A guy is reinterpreting the classics' OST on the forum:

In other news, what do you guys think about remasters and stuff? I find them highly hipothetical and even I can see that the cost/effect of such a project in Bethesda's part wouldn't happen in the first place. But if it were to happen, they'd "remaster" Fallout 3.

He's on it. Funny how Mark Morgan also did quite a simillar thing to other music.

Do you think that Bethesda is going to do something this 20th anniversary?

I know there's a Fallout tabletop game that was recently teased, so perhaps we'll get a full reveal.

Otherwise... who knows. A remaster of the old games would seem appropriate for the occasion, but we could just see a sale or something.

I ve been playing F zero X ever since Mamma gifted it to us back in 1999, so I am fairly confident I will play FO4 in 10 years from now!

(still play skyrim on a regular basis, since we are talking about beth games)

Holy xD wish I was THAT lucky when it comes to nukes! they usually land on my face instead... (or right next to me)
