He shows him the material he acquired. "Hopefully the Blacksmith'll let me use her forge so I can make myself some plates... I did also find a bunch of canned goods for you, as well as some potential companions."
"Nice! I've got some too and I've got a couple decent weapons now....When we are prepping to go, let me know, I need to find my friends.."
"I mean sure you could have just said we were fellow survivors, but I don't mind so it's fine." It seemed, at least for the moment, that there was no cause for a 'do not enter' sign
"Hey thanks kid." As they continued, they came across a small gas station that was still standing. After around 10 minutes, a boat pulls up on the shore and out of the loudspeaker they heard "All aboard." He gets some distance into the tunnel and begins to hear groans. While the two were talking, Ray walked in.
"Pfft." She climbs the ramp into the boat. He got his answer shortly after when a zombie wandered into the beam of his flashlight.
Carson pulls the crowbar from his belt loop, and walks towards the gas station. 'Let's check it out.' He feels like they are getting into a bit of a routine.
It's a simple boat, it looks like it was made for fishing expeditions. The color scheme is black and white. The zombie, being a simple construct of flesh and disease, crumbled easily under his foot. Unfortunately that seems to have gotten the attention of a few nearby zombies. Jason pulled out his weapon "no kidding."
He walks the perimeter first, checking the state of the building, before going to the entrance and hitting the side of the door with his crowbar, making noise. 'Anyone home?'
"Hello!" Came the voice over the loudspeaker. "I'm in the cabin." He hears no response from inside or around the area. In front of him was only more tunnel and zombies, though there was still the way he came from.
