improvements for ancient vaults.

I would like to make some suggestions about the current Vaults.

Since the Vaults can be entered after the story, this means they are basically Endgame content.
Unfortunately neither by difficulty nor by rewards do they offer endcontent. With the equipment of endcontent they are supereasy. All one need sis one end tier armor a rocketlauncher and a grappling hook to get through them easily. Actually that makes even the challenge rooms at some areas more "challenging" than the vaults.
Further getting specific drops like the mini biome terraformers is just grinding these dungeons over and over praying to RNGSUS.

So what could be an improvement:

    1. less RNGSUS and therefore less grind.
    2. more challenging Vaults
    3. more rewarding vaults

    1. lowering RNGSUS.
Instead of offering one key the NPC could offer various different keys based on the ingredient.

the ingredient (Scorched cores/static cells) decides the key type (Scorched key/static key).
They keytype used at the ancient gateway, will decide what kind of boss you will meet. The Boss type will define which mini biome terraformer may drop.

This would grant the player the ability to decide which kind of boss to meet and which kind of mini biome terraformer may drop. It massively reduces the repetitive grind people have to do.
currently the chance is only 1/30 to get a specific mini biome terraformer, i feel already pity for all the builders out there having a concept requiring multiple of a specific one. Or mostlikely they will just spawn them by command anyways.
With one key leading to a specific boss, this would be 1/2 chance. Or maybe loottables could be altered so one boss can spawn various different mini biome terraformers like 3 different ones distributed to 5 keys. That would make it 1/6 chance to get a specific one which is still much better than the horrible 1/30 ratio.

    2. more challenging vaults.
honestly Vaults are supereasy, way too easy.

offer 3 difficulties (maybe let them reflect in a bit more expensive keys)

ancient key: 5 materials --> leads to the current vaults
powerful ancient key: 10 materials --> leads to a vault harder than the current
damaged powerful ancient key 15 materials --> leads to a vault even harder than the powerful key

Bosses could get difficulty defined faster movement cycles, the current ones are really slow. They could also have a few more dangerous special moves
Mobs could get more health and do more damage. chests should have some kind of much stronger elite Mob around.
Damaged powerful keys: These are keys someone ripped off the gateway. This trapped a current raidgroup in the Vault. Buying this key would make the player enter a vault which next to regular mobs is also filled with hostile NPC's using guns and weapons which should definately make up for a harder experience than the current regular mobs do.

    3. more rewarding vaults.
Out of the reduction of RNG comes already a much better rewarding feeling.
With the higher difficulties the ancient essence drop could be increased as well as the chance of dropping a mini biome terraformer.
    Something like

    Ancient key: 50%
    powerful ancient key 75%
    damaged powerful ancient key 100%
May also, double and tripple the mini biome transformers dropchance from the chests (the default ones are extremely low).

Another feature could be upgrading ALL Weapons to Tier 6 instead of just the unique weapons. There are some very nice looking weapons in the game, and it is a shame that we cannot upgrade them to T6. Especially together with the way how weapons are also procedural made it would be great to be able to upgrade them too.

This kind of change would reward choosing the higher difficulty, yet allows players not wanting or able to go hard mode still get rewards by investing time into more runs.

Maybe ontop we could get a HUGE ancient key which somehow makes a vault suited for multiple players, I really miss any kind of action activity for multiple people.

I don't think such changes would be too complex, but they would add so much more to vaults than how plain they currently work.
