I installed a small number of mods, admittedly some are out of date, namely the small extended race selection and vulpes race, and though I did what I needed to do make them work, and even put them in the mods folder, however while the game runs just fine i'm not seeing effects from any of them, not even the up to date mods.
You more like likely put a folder inside a folder. This can be easily confirmed when you launch the game and look at bottom right. If you installed the mod properly it will appear in red.
No. You do not put a compressed file in your mods folder and expect it to work. It has to be uncompressed, in either a file folder or modpack format. If a folder, it must have a modinfo file within the folder (ex. .../mods/modname/mod.modinfo). If it's a modpack, it must be within the mods folder (ex. /mods/modname.modpack).
Well I wasn't putting the compressed folders in there so that's not what I did wrong, and yes the mods do have a .modinfo file.
Go to one of your mods - look for the mod info file. Copy the entire directory structure and paste it here. Code: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\giraffe_storage\mods\planetCORE\pak.modinfo Also you may notice the pak.modinfo file is only a single level below mods If its more then 1 level then you have an extra folder.
Well I'm redoing it anyway but enhanced gore is one, another was a race mod that needs updating anyway, and one was EEB or something like that, a body enhancer
