I wonder

Are space battles with spaceships still planned to be in the game, or has it been scrapped?

 

Oh so these will be a thing? Good thing I looked here I did not know that.
I hope they'll be similar to the way FTL has ship battles >w<

 

Well, it's probably because FTL had one of the best non-action based ship combat systems, at least to most people I've talked to.
Also, since it's controls only use a cursor (which is needed in Starbound) it would fit the game perfectly in my opinion.

Bump... The question remains the same. When will this happen?
I've waited quite a few years already I wonder if it had been scrapped after all.
