Server Help How do I set up a Hamachi server?

It wont let me connect to my IP address, but I also don't really want to port forward. Will there be a way to set up a hamachi server or something.

What if i run the server file and have a hamachi group going and i can join the server just fine but my friend can't?

 

Do you know how to properly set up a hamachi for starbound. Because right now only I can join the server and not my friend.

Same issue here. Cannot join my wife, but she is fine to connect to the server.

 

Same here for Hamachi. I can connect fine, but friends can't

You can try using evolve https://www.evolvehq.com/ (I think it works better anyways)

 

Okay, so i'm not 100% on how to use evolve, but I'm going to try this!!

Yeaah... after trying with evolve I'm at the exact same problem I can connect, but no one else can.

 

How did you even set up a game with Evolve, it wont add the game to the list when I start playing as it said it would

 

I've been having the exact same issue trying to use hamachi. This isn't an issue I've ever had using it with another game either.

 

Then it would have to be an issue with all VPNs

When you create or join a room it installed a VPN network driver and anyone in that room should be able to join like they are in the same lan.

Make sure you can joining with the virtual ip that is being given.

 

Unfortunately I dont understand any of this... Can anyone explain in simpler terms what I have to do to get evolve to see Starbound?

 

1. you and your friend needs to install Evolve and open it
2. Add each other to the friends list
3. Click on home and select create a party
4. Invite friend to party

You are now connected to the VPN and should be able to join each other

Whom ever is the host you would enter the ip that is next to their name in Evolve in the party window

 

All you're saying is how Evolve is working, we all know how it's working, it's not the issue here...

 

I am also having this problem, and since I am really underexperienced with port-forwarding, this is my only option really.
