Well fellas, I think it's quite clear that this story has moved on without me, and probably for the best, too. I would like to resign from this RP, and hand the character Cody Aric over to the GM for whatever purposes he/she has in mind. I bid thee farewell, thanks for the few memories I've had here.

 

You can still re-join if you want. It's only been about half a day and the real stuff will start day 2. You sure you want to leave?

 

Yeah, I'm also caught up in other things, so this is just so you don't have to worry about whether I want to attend.

 

FIRST POST IF THE YEAR IN THIS THING! It's very quiet... except for me.

 

Heyo. I'm presuming that apps are still open, but I prefer to ask before simply assuming; I'd like to join since it seems fairly interesting and simple.

I'm also assuming one character per player, but still want to ask just to be certain; I have two characters in mind, but don't mind having to choose one over the other if need be.

 

Apps are still open, and unless 8 more people join, you can have more than one character.

Backstory (optional): Chu'r-Plu was shipmistress of a corvette class ship near the end of the Human-Covenant war, originally only in it for the money. After the Great Schism that split the Elites/Sangheili from the Covenant, she had caught word of what the Halo's true use and became one of the very few Jackals/Kig-Yar that also diverged from the Covenant and joined the Separatists (there's no use of all the money in the world if you're dead!). Once the humans won the war, it only made sense for her to join the Swords of Sanghelios where she also met and befriended a Sangheili named Mei 'Sangam.


Positive traits:

• If you can drive a stick...: Even if she's never operated a certain vehicle before, she picks up how to control them at an impressive rate. Sure, she may get confused at how to back up when first driving a warthog and curse about the inefficiencies of a gas and brake pedal, but she's a quick learner.
• Light foot: Plu's light weight makes her capable of running fairly quickly and without much sound so long as she isn't carrying too much.

Negative traits:

• Foreign Speaker: Being used to speaking in her native tongue for so long, she has a hard time speaking the language of humans and general any other langue. Her friend Mie typically has to translate things for her, or suffer the annoyances of language barriers.
• Easily encumbered: Plu never had enough conditioning training, so carrying larger weapons, such as sniper rifles, launchers, etc. will make it very difficult to carry anything else, even a sidearm.

Primary armor color: Dark-Green
Secondary armor color: Grey
Armor permutation: Ranger

Backstory (optional): Although the Great Schism and Human-Covenant War was within her life span, she had never been in any of their wars due to the women having to stay in their homeworld. However, once the Swords of Sanghelios was formed and the war came to a close, Mie 'Sangam jumped on the opportunity to join as a true warrior. Near the beginning of the start of her career, she met a Kig-Yar named Chu'R Plu.


Positive traits:

• Polyglot: Mie is capable of speaking many languages, including a few human languages outside of English, though she mostly uses this to translate for Chu'r Plu.
• CQC Specialist: Thanks to being trained how to fight at a young age and further trained when joining the Swords of Sanghelios, Mie is very capable fighting unarmed, at melee weapons distance, and with close range weapons.

Negative traits:

• Photophobia: She can quickly be temporarily blinded by too much light, especially if in a dark room and lights are sudden turned on. Simply stepping outside while the sun is out is enough to give her a bit of a headache for awhile.
• Near-sighted: Long ranged combat is difficult for Mie as objects start to become a little fuzzy the further away they are from her.
