Mie picks up a second pistol, not bothering to try and figure out which ones had the highest charge since the next wave was on approach. She warns the others that they have a few more assailants on the way while the sangheili moved to cover, aiming her two weapons down to the bend of the room.
(@Dragonclaw in case alerts broke) Jake looks at the odst, and asks"what's this about being clinically insane?"
"Still, that would be on your report... and you weren't showing these symptoms previously, I'm not sure if you are still the same person under that armor." Jake pulls up The odst's dossier to see if he had these symptoms before, or if this was a new development. angry ram just hovers there in cofusion...
The other pistol is at 76%. Not too bad. As soon as they turn the corner, one drops dead after a face full of plasma. The rest fire back. This time it's a squad of Grunts and Jackals with one Elite. There are a few Elites. One you take out since it's shield is down. The others prove a bit more difficult. It takes a full clip to take one out, and that isn't even considering how time-inmeficient it is. You did just appear next to a monitor, which is a bit suspicious. Meanwhile, the SPARTAN who just talked to you seems distracted... or busy. "No naps. We have some work to do. You can nap when you're dead, on the ship, or just have some coffee." Michael offers you a hand up (if you aren't already). The best the ship has is a few PD guns, mostly for asteroids. Those still should be able to take out some small craft if necessary. "So this place has a monitor... You're not going to try to get us to activate the Halo Array, right?" -Post 2 You don't see any mental issues, except some previous depression. That means that this either developed while you've been here, he's lying, or it's someone else. The last option seems rather unlikely though.
Milo throws another grenade at the elites, attempting to set off a chain reaction with their grenades.
Jake recommends that the odst go back to the ship, for a medical diagnosis, before turning to angry ram, who "stalks" closer to jake "I request that you have never come here in the first place, human. Now leave, and take this ship with you "orders angry ram. Jake replies" this ship is not able to fly, so you will have to keep it." At that moment, Ethan interjects, and adds that the ship to ship weaponry is online.
You're up. "Yep. It's not just you. It's that Monitor and ODST. Now, can you help me find that last drive? I have 2 out of 3." You get some luck. The grenade explodes, detonating one of their plasma grenades. It takes out two Elites and a group of Jackals. Things are starting to look bad. It looks like they might overrun you... "We should be leaving soon, once I find that last drive... Tuis thing is staying here though." The 'weaponry' should be fully operational now. The ODST isn't reacting. He calls the marines to retreat, and the shuttle that dropped him off to fire on the enemy forces to buy time. He then tells one of the marines to sprint to the tank before retreating, firing at the enemies as he does so.
Mie rapidly fires the pistol in her right hand at whoever was the closest to her until it overheated before turning to the elite and charged up the other pistol before firing, attempting to knock off their shields.
(Kevin is on a different area.) Jake wonder who Kevin is before turning to the odst."you should probably help keep the position, or find the drive.the covenant will be here shortly. Angry ram summons some promethians from around the ship and orders them to blockade anybody from shooting anybody. He also looks for watchers and summons those, with the orders to block grenades, and assist the knights
Unfortunately - for them - a Grunt was closest. It doesn't take much to kill it. You kill one more Grunt before taking down the Elite's shields with the overcharged shot. You wonder for a brief moment how the plasma manages to seek out its target before you snap back into reality, taking cover. ((Jake doesn't know about a Kevin because Zoom didn't say anything. Just a little heads up.)) The units you've summoned don't fare so well. Some of them are destroyed almost immediately, and some of them take some heavy damage. They'll survive.. at least for now. The fighting seems to have a small cease-fire. As you're retreating, it seems as if you're about to be completely overrun. That's when a group of Pelicans unleashes a barrage of missiles and depleted uranium rounds that tear through the enemy offensive. You catch a glimpse of a name on the side of one. It looked like Fire something. Then they come back around and drop off some reinforcements. ((I'm going to assume Kevin is Michael because of all the other RPs I'm in as Kevin...)) That doesn't work. You try to grab his gun, but he pulls it away. "Hey, watch it. Try that again and it won't end so well."
He gathers any unharmed marines to carry the wounded back to camp. Then goes to find the pilots who shot up the Covenant forces.
Angry ram sighs, before attempting to separate the 2 fighting forces. Jake looks for the final survey disk.
For whatever reason they do have the ability to home in on targets, she appreciates the weapon for that reason exactly, since her near sightedness can be problematic without the extra help. She waits for her guns to cool down before she tries to get out of cover to fire at whomever remains.
Looks like they're already on it. Unfortunately, there have been some casualties. Right now a few pilots are loading up any wounded while the others patrol the skies. They've stopped fighting for now. Separating them if - or when - they start fighting again may be difficult. --- You start looking, and after a minute you find it. That's all three. That also means mission almost accomplished. It takes a few seconds, but once they cool down you finish off the second wave. You should be able to get into the engine room and see what's happening now. You still don't hear any alarms, but you have a feeling that they could start any second now. ((This is the RP thread.
