Feedback Going back to old times

I was thinking about doing this thread, but nevermind. Lets start writing.
Well, i think many of you got bored of the newest starbound, and many didn't play the beta.
Im going to play the old beta. Koala one, not Giraffe one.
Ill update this post when i achieve something special for my character that is named Koala.
Now, i killed Penguin UFO, as players name it here, and robot.
Tell me if wanna to continue this.

UPDATE: I killed Bone Dragon, and im going to Delta sector.
UPDATE2: I got Human Mech, and im happy that i got it.
UPDATE3: I got a good machine gun, that safed me from 2 minibosses at spawn of a planet.
UPDATE4: Im getting prepared for the Jelly Boss.
UPDATE5: Giant meteor have hit my planet where i was preparing. It was kinda weird.
UPDATE6: I killed Jelly Boss. It was kinda easy, i got hit only some times in my dirt fortress.
UPDATE7: I got Durasteel tech upgrade.
UPDATE8: I got Aegisalt tech upgrade.
UPDATE9: I got Ferozium tech upgrade.
UPDATE10: I got Cerulium tech upgrade.
UPDATE11: I got Violium tech upgrade.
UPDATE12, and maybe the last: I got Rubium tech upgrade.

Well... boss fights were easy but when going to next sectors when you are not ready, its hard.

Well... i think its my end of the Starbound Enraged Koala journey. It was nice to play it, and i recommend it to you guys.

Only one jelly left, maybe ill try to pet it?

EDIT: This jelly disappeared so sadly... Maybe you guys will find it in the infinite universe?

 

boss fights are still easy, tbh, the current bosses are way easier, old bosses were easy because you could prepare an arena.

The jelly screenshot is funny because the gas giant wiht the small planet in the background looks like a HUGE jellyfish eye

While there are certain things I would have loved from koala (smaller asteroid planets with tough space mobs, more varied environments from the get go) I'm glad with what we have, especially in the combat department. I just have other games at the moment.

 

I miss the old 10-item hotbar.

 

I miss the hunger and cold in the old game. The hunger is more logical and clothing or fire is more useful during coldness of you see what I'm saying. I want it back, it's part of the fun

 

I miss having all random monsters have special abilities.

 

Yeah I agree. I loved it especially on the snow biomes, where you would have to prepare leather armour, or like I used to do, travel from igloo to igloo, since there was a campfire in one. It also made asteroids a challenge, as it was freezing cold up there.

And Jellyman, how can I get the old versions of starbound back?

 

oh yes getting spit at by flames, strange balck seeds and poisonw a sos fun you never knew what the mobs brought at you. Fun times and every planet was unqiue.

 

It made catching them more useful as well.

 

yes it's funny how i was roaming the universe for the nic lookign good aility having pet in the old one but now I don't bother with all theose "*boop* I gonna touch you animals"

 

The large birds still have abilities, but you have to go really high up, or find an evil glitch fortress to find them.

 

I miss the old beta worlds, they had much more variety than they have currently.

 

I just found a random bird that shoots this rapid stream of large projectiles from its beak, and each projectile did 50 damage. I had tier 6 armor and full health and it killed me almost instantly. I caught it, put a damage 3 collar on it, and now it's unstoppable

 

yes but they are big ones AND they don't only use these projectiles they will also try to do contact damage which sucks and kills them unnevessarily quick.

I miss those small animals on land vomiting ranbows. They were hilarious.

Yeah, I found some kind of turtletaur in an oasis that shot rainbows.
