Closed game stops responding at the chucklefish logo when it opens

    whenever i click on launch game it opens up the chucklefish logo, makes noise for a second and emediately freezes. whenever i click on it is not responding.is this happening to anyone else?

    Launching the starbound.exe in compatibility mode for Vista Service Pack 2 worked for me.

    i found out, that if you dont move the window, dont click anything for like 1-2 min the game WILL start normally, the game also will have a small freeze at character select as well, but after that the game will run fine, so just wait a min or 2 at logo and it should fix it

    It's the nature of Windows 7 to post a program as non-responsive if the program will load up the game in a way that's not fully communicative with the OS (which is a lot of games). It's loading up, don't worry. Just let it sit and it'll continue on.
