Hey sayter, just curious if this is a bug or intended in a game. I went to a world and there was a friendly avian outpost made of wood. So also on this world there are chances of ash storms and burned the avian outpost down. Then because i was able to pick up these burned down items, the avian accused me of stealing and rampaged on me. Either way it was a pretty neat effect to see their wooden base (wtf avian, we're on a volcanic planet ) burn to the ground, aside from them turning on me because they thought i stole something.

Flooding and other kinds of destructive weather effects cause the same same problem in the vanilla game. They really need to just get rid of the theft retaliation system until it's fixed.

 

hello, everyone, I've encountered a problem and wanted to ask for help, recently, I updated to FU 5.4.271, but when I created the electronic center and accessed it the game crash with this messages
Exception caught in client main-loop
(ItemException) No such item 'network_pump'
any advice on how to fix it?

start by updating your mod before you report problems. That was fixed already.

Second, bug reporting directions are literally the first thing printed on the mods Overview page. Perhaps follow those instructions as well, next time.

 

Things I still want to see in Starbound:

• Neon tube lighting.
• Gingerbread blocks for making gingerbread houses
• Many glow in the dark plants that can be grown to act as lighting
• An endless supply of bouncy stuff made from gelatinous stuff
• adjustment of the *@#$ dash tech to not require me to kill my finger constantly double tapping to deploy
• God we need a better character selection UI; if you have more than 15 characters, it's just a miserable clickfest.

 

Hey, so it seems like you've made a REALLY cool mod, and I just have a few questions about it.
1. If I back up my vanilla stuff and load up Frackin' Universe, can I later back up Frackin' Universe and reload my vanilla universe and characters?
2. If I were to install this to the Unstable branch, would it effect the Stable branch?

neon tubes: are one of the vanilla light types
gingerbread: id...never even thought of it. might do that for the Candyland biome.
glowing plants: FU adds several already
bouncy stuff: slime guns, gel tiles
dash tech: get Stim Rig techs. they dash automatically/passively
UI for characters: i dont see why. i have never had more than 4 at once.

 

1. backup your universe and player directories. problem solved. Once you install FU you cannot UNinstall it without perma-screwing your universe due to it affecting generation of said universe.
2. no. unstable is separate.

Yeah, I got bored with vanilla after completing it. with frackin' universe it's a lot better IMO. However I seem to have a bug at the moment, the director of the Science Outpost is missing. No clue if it's the other mods I'm using or not.
Does anyone else have this problem?

 

He's hanging out on a lush planet. (Any lush planet, actually.) You're supposed to meet him on your starter planet, but if you're returning to an old planet made pre-update, he won't be there. Find another.

 

Really? I must have missed that update. Dang reinstalled for nothing, . Ah well, thank you for the answer. Now to hunt him down in my new game.
