Server Help "FPS Drop" when collecting items on a dedicated server?

I've not really played multiplayer Starbound until recently, so I have positively no idea if this is normal behavior - or what might be causing it if it isn't. At first, I thought it had to do with breaking blocks - but, turns out, it's picking up items that causes the game to stutter as though it were losing framerate - and it gets worse the more items you collect at a time.

This doesn't happen in single player, and as far as I'm aware - it's something everyone on the server is experiencing. Not all at once, mind - if I pick up items on one planet, it doesn't affect someone on another planet.

Does anyone have any ideas?

 

Sounds like the server is choking.
