Force wall lights to stick to background?

So I'm placing a bunch of Electric Lights in my ship, but any Electric Light that's placed adjacent to a floor, wall, or ceiling will stick to that surface instead of a background wall. Is there any way to tell the light which surface to stick to when multiple options are available? Thank you.

 

No, I dont think so. If you want the light to stick to just the background, im pretty sure youre just gonna have to move the light a little ways away from the walls/ceilings/floors or just use a different light source.
