Error where Sound Cuts out

Hello,
I have risk of rain for steam. After just getting the 40 minute achievement, the next time I restarted the game after quitting, there was an error message that was shown in the top left. It saved a text file, but I don't know where it is. Also, the audio has cut out entirely. Has this happened to anyone?

I found where the error log is stored and this is what it says:

Happened to me too. No sound what so ever. This was on the first start up of the game though.

 

exactly same thing happening to me and it is very frustrating :/

 

When I reinstalled the game, the problem persisted. However, when I restarted steam, it worked without a problem. This is the only solution I know of so far.

 

I have a similar issue, but received no error message. I am also unable to access the esc menu after the bug begins. The bug persists on new games. Sound is intermittent, but not entirely gone. The music is only available in the main menu.

Edit:
After finding the error log, it looks like my issue, while similar, is due to a different error entirely. Due to the similarity I'll post it here.
Error:

This error repeats in the error log.
