Could anyone make a mod that cleans up Shane's room (i.e. removes the spilled beer/soda, no more track marks, removes the keg and beer cans) After everyone works so hard to help Shane over his alcoholism, it makes me sad that his room still looks like he's a drunken wreck
Here you go! It was really bothering me too, but you gave me the motivation to try! Also I left the pizza box because reasons. If you have any other mods that change the spouseRooms.xnb then they will conflict with this mod. Just place in Stardew Valley --> Content --> Maps. And make sure to backup you spouseRooms.xnb just in case. You never know...
You are the best ever! Thanks so much! Is it okay if I share this mod (and heavily credit you) on Reddit?
Sure, go ahead! I'm glad you're happy with it! ^^ EDIT: I was lurking your post on reddit, because I don't have a reddit but I was curious. Anyways, I didn't realize the things in the corners were beer cans because I'm a derp. So I took those out too if you want.
Oh that's wonderful. I was so upset when I saw his spouse room, I even posted in the 1.1 beta thread basically asking why Shane's room was so bad when his entire arc was trying to get sober....
You have to replace the spouseRooms.xnb in Stardew Valley --> Content --> Maps. Make sure you backup the original spouseRooms.xnb though just in case anything happens.
You're a kind human being. This bothered me (not enough to not marry Shane, but), and I'm really glad this was made
i dont know if im doing something wrong is there a specific program i need to make it work? hopefully ths is updated
Did you unzip it and then replace the old file? If so then I'm not sure what's going on. It shouldn't need any updating that I'm aware of... There's also this other mod that also cleans up Shane's room if you want to try. http://community.playstarbound.com/...snt-trash-your-house-mod.125364/#post-3047454
This mod is awesome! I have to say that I felt a lot of dismay when Shane moved in and his room was a pigsty. I tried another mod to give new character rooms (it really looked great, too) but I believe that it changed Shane's behavior. On days when he was supposed to be hanging in his room, I don't remember seeing him around anywhere, nor seeing him go in that room at all. I tested this one by going to sleep again immediately and 3 days later, there was Shane in his room. Yay!!
IIRC, it's just by random chance that your spouse will be in their room. Just editing a map won't change a character's schedule.
