Bug/Issue Character save data is gone?

Hello, thank you for taking your time to read and support my issue. What happened was I began Starbound last night and enjoyed the heck out of it. I saved and quit to the main menu when I finished and logged off steam. But, this morning as I went to game a bit, my character save data was gone. Is there any way I can recover my data? Or prevent this from happening in the future? Any help will be appreciated.

Chances are pretty good that your character hasn't gone anywhere. It's entirely possible that there was an issue during save data overwrite. There's a tab that walks you through that recovery process. Let me know if you have any questions or want me to clarify something!
