55 pages I can't. Anyways, here's a sketchie of Nat Shuherov from my (still ongoing!) story, Boom. I know it's a dumb title shhh

 

This would be Summer Rayne Stewart, an entirely new character who worked to protect Earth before its destruction, in which she lost many things, including an arm. Since then, she's been helped back on her feet by a benefactor who's provided her with plenty, in exchange for her services in making contacts and connections. Despite what stereotypes may say, she's a smart cookie.

To your character, she doesn't need fear:
WE ARE HUMAN AND THE HUMANS HOLD TOGETHER!!!
No mountain could be too hight for claim it,
no sea could be too large for sail it
and no nightmare could be too distasteful for fear it
if we hold together and we have the trust to us.

 

I should probably warn you that her best friends since Earth's destruction have been Novakid and Avians. Not humans.

Well, first of all, I didn't learn from a book. I draw intuitively - it's very hard to explain how to draw, for me. The best advice I can give is to draw more. Drawing something based off of someone else's picture, like you've done here, is a good way to practice drawing. If you keep drawing like that, you'll be copying drawing techniques that work, and eventually you'll be able to make them work just as well or better.
