Awesome... wasn't really expecting it to help since that exe is run through the launcher (which is already running as admin) but hey... if it works. :)

Yea, it kinda helped me but still, i am getting about 10-20 fps drop when it's raining and i'm running the game at a constant 30 fps on x2 zoom (but not on x 3 it's fine) but still with my system i should be able to run this game 60 fps constant with x2 zoom

Agreed, this doesn't seem like it should be as framerate demanding as it is... I can only assume the devs will put out a more permanent fix in the future.

Same here and im on a planet that keeps raining and lightning. I'm moving more slow then when im playing terraria on tshock servers and decided to mass summon EoC 200 times it gets bad enough to crash the server sometimes.

At this early beta stage, the game isn't completely optimized. Some slowdown and framerate issues should be expected.

Some yes thats 100% understandable, but when it's like that from the moment you board the ship it's a problem.

    Exactly

I shall try this after i get off work. Thanks for the heads up.

A bit weird with the frame-rate tanks I don't get them hard unless I have zoom level out and when it rains.
I wouldn't mind it smoothed out cause it just strikes me odd it drops by 10-20 frames.

Well ive tried compatability mode, run as admin (on both steam and the game itself), running Open GL. exe., renaming the exe's. None of this works the frame rate is still horrible =(
