WIP Anthro characters

Seeing that Species accordingly to personalities is winning, when you finish all the characters, are you going to make a different one where species for each family?

ALSO, i demand MORE BIRDS (but that aside, i love this mod and can't wait to see the rest. And alts would be fun too, but maybe after everyone is done.)

That sounds ideal actually. But it might be too much work when I get to that point. It's winning sure but It's still not such a huge difference. I think I'd still rather do some sort of compromise. At least 2 posters here mentioned maybe one parent could be the same species as a compromise and I'm liking that idea so far.

I like Haley a lot. She develops the most out of all the girls I think haha.

 

Willy looks amazing! As for Sandy, Fennik Fox and Flamingo were the first things that popped into my head, but she would look awesome as a moth as well!

 

I like the idea of them all being Bugs. How about QI being a stag beetle? Also, wouldn't that mean the tourist who appears at the fair would have to be a bug as well, because she is normally in the Oasis casino?

 

I like her too, and I agree! She changes a lot once you get to know her, but because she starts off being a little rude there are a lot of people who don't like her

 

Hey I tried the alt portraits for Harvey and I think they need some work. I think it's just the portraits, not the sprites cause his sprite is just a chunk of the portrait while the portrait is unchanged.

Like a lot of people, I kinda see Lewis as a dog. Maybe a Terrier, cause of his mustache.

Maybe a Camel/Horned Lizard Sandy too, like sirentu said. A moth looks fantastic too, it'd be interesting to have a bug character, and the first thing that I though of for Gus was a rhino.

And speaking of birds, I was thinking maybe Gunther at the library could be a Blue Jay or something, seeing how he's basically 90% blue. Or maybe Emily could be a bird too, suits her.

Clint is a toughie though, can't think of any animal for him.

Willie Shark looks great, can't wait to see him in-game!

 

I still support Wizard owl over dragon and Lewis as a terrier sounds great.

As for Clint I think he might work well as a badger.

 

Maybe we should have a vote on what the wizard should be between an Eastern Dragon and an Owl, lol. Though personally I think your Eastern Dragon idea sounds great, especially considering the relationship between him, Caroline and Abigail.

Honestly in my eyes if anyone were to be an owl it should be Gunther 'cause whenever I think of owls I think of smart animals that symbolize knowledge and the pursuit thereof, for example the Owl spirit in Avatar the Last Airbender who was guardian over that vast library of books/knowledge and who was in constant pursuit to learn of new and interesting things. In many games and cartoons owls tend to be very knowledgeable creatures and while the wizard is knowledgeable in a magical/other-worldly sense I think an owl for Gunther who is knowledgeable in more worldly/historical matters would fit perfectly with his character, plus those glasses would work well on an owl (just look at Mr. Owl in the tootsie pop commercials).

To summarize, in my opinion as a magical person the wizard would be best represented by a magical creature that symbolizes wisdom like the Eastern Dragon does whereas Gunther, a normal human being, would be best represented by a normal creature that symbolizes knowledge like the Owl does. That's my two cents on the matter anyway.

 

Clint should be a badger or a wombat. They are both very earthy creatures and they are often characterized as dour or stubborn. I think Marnie should be a Capybara! They are supposed to be very sweet critters.

I hadn't really considered Sandy. Sirentu's horned lizard or camel suggestions sound nice, but a sidewinder or rattlesnake would fit the desert well too.
Clint would make a good mole, as stereotypical as that is. I can't really think of a good miner-blacksmith-type otherwise.
Mayor Lewis does seem like the type to be a dog of some kind. Terrier or St. Bernard work well.
As for Gus, someone told me he seemed like a boar, but I see Pam as more of the boarish type. Maybe a walrus? He has the frame for it.

 

Mayor Lewis could be a either a border collie for his 'herding'/leading of the town, or he could be an aged great pyrenees to play off his in story in ability to ward predators(Joja Mart) off of his herd (Pelican Town.)

Sandy... there are Kangaroo mice. Or spotted hyena.

Clint could be a badger or, on a slightly more mellow strain, a ground squirrel or prairie dog. Or even a mountain goat.

Gus... Well, he does have the walrus-stache, but he's a little land bound for that so... maybe a coyote?

 

These are lovely! I am entirely biased towards bug people and birds, but they're all really well done.
