Edit:To add some extra text,here is my actual feedback.

Firstly,the art for them seems rather basic as of now,the Mod art seems a tad more complex and fiting,as it aint just a bunch of incandescent gas,it has some shading and such too.
Still early work,im assuming,yet,worth mentioning.

Please,please,actualy make some decent and smart weapons.Peglaci type weapons,not just boring old revolvers and miniguns,Starbound can make some realy nice guns,why make the progression ones bland and boring?

Im hoping some sort of Resonance Detonator(Iji) or something is added for them,being ranged and not being able to even push enemies away seems like a bad idea,ya know?

Also,make the armor sets interesting,some sort of Gun Mining tool would be apropriate,some Sun Cola or Nuka Colla,id be a nice touch for the setllements.

Other than that,dont srew the personality and quotes,you might just have replaced the Florans!

You talk about shield generators blocking mining, but I hope this won't apply to furnishings, since the best way (at least at present) to get cool, race-themed furnishings is to raid dungeons! Or do you plan to add a physical shield generator object to the end of the dungeon that you can break to allow mining? Because I'm telling you right now that one of the most universally hated things to do in games is backtracking... :/
