I sense you're wrong. More likely end of next month. Why? Who does a first look AFTER releasing the Beta? Insomnia is from the 23rd to the 25th of August.
I got through 11 seconds of this and got the vague idea, then stopped it for the sake of my own sanity
cheers check the link I quoted, I was thinking the same way, but this dude has proof it might release before it.
There's plenty of games from the 16 bit era that did that to save memory - backgrounds don't change much, sprites do. Off the top of my head I can think of the excellent Worms: The Directors cut. The last ever game that Team 17 wrote for the Amiga and the best version of Worms until Worms: World party added most of DC's content to the stuff that was never available on the Amiga version (the mole bomb, and possibly one or two others) I can't see them doing that. The game is meant to be pixelarty and retro. The backgrounds actually ADD to that. High res in the foreground wouldn't. I'm guessing you haven't done much coding of your own. The amount of work to add that in at this stage wouldn't be worth giving the few people that want it the option I'd pay for it NOT to be a strech goal. Well, that's at least ONE part of your post I can agree with
I don't know whether it's annoying or comforting to get further down reading the thread and find someone else giving the same response as you.
The glitch may be robotic but they are not aware of the fact and also medieval in nature - so I'm not sure an industrialised moon would mirror their species. Regardless of this I believe there's been enough information already given out by Chucklefish to confirm your expectations in this regard.
ok this made me laugh :] and judging by the sounds of things sounds like you guys are gearing up for releasing the beta which is great but remember these words bum rushed gets flushed well polished never gets tarnished or something like that idk im bored.
I'm Assuming the player is orbiting one of the moon of the planet, and is looking at the planet the moon is orbiting. It must be a truly Massive planet to hold Three Moons. Makes me wonder how deep we can mine on that planet? But then again a planet that size would have Serious Gravity, and make mining operation very dangerous because of fall hazard.
Yeah. Reading through this and responding to posts as I read them was probably not the best idea. By the time I got to your reply to my post I'd realised this, several times.
It would look better without the shiny outlines around the planets. Or atleast, if they are there to help recognize the planets, bind them to a button that you have to hold to see them.
