These new mini-biomes are starting to look really cool. I can't wait until they're all in the stable version!
Glowing blocks! Fireflies! Not a first, but I still find it pretty awesome how receptive CF has been to suggestions.
Then the traveller in the dark Thanks you for your tiny sparks; He could not see which way to go, If you did not twinkle so.
I agree with Kawa. Glowing blocks? YES. Although that orange bulb on the left... it looks kind of familiar...
I simply think you are great! There is no words to describe your work! (sorry, but I donĀ“t know much english)
I can't help but notice how the Novakid is in the image there, at night, being all bright and glowing during the day, is kind of not glowing or luminescent in the night compared to all the other glowing flora. But aside from that trivial thing I thought I'd point out, I do think the idea of more glowing objects is pretty cool.
Both of which are based on real life plant bulbs. Only so many ways you can draw that. (See Bulbasaur and any other bulb sprites) Novakid glowing is still planned last I checked, but they aren't doing that until they implement bonuses for the other species as well. Otherwise Novakid would have a perk/benefit that the other species didn't have. Anyway, you can see the new glowing fish critter in the water there. On the Starbound subreddit, Quiqksilver posted a few different planet concepts. Also, I posted some small updates from Friday night's build here. Metadept announced that ocean water no longer endlessly spawns inside player made structures that have backwalls! (no need to fill foreground and remove it anymore) Statement and GIF of it here: https://twitter.com/metadept/status/620665275172716544 They are objects that you can pick up and put anywhere. Edit: They are objects, but they drop glow fibre when mined. You can spawn them in with admin commands though. I do hope we get a way to legitimately obtain them. That might not happen though if they want glow fibre dropping from them, since that is used to make glow sticks.
I support this one, we want the seeds to plant those! Oh, as for the machine planet concept, would we have a planet similar to this?
Everything emits light. We just can't see most of that light. Those plants sure look neat... Now, if only we could grow the stuff...
I wonder... will the Burning Coals object be made into a tile now that glowing tiles are, apparently, possible?
