    Looking forward to it, Kao. Hope you change the inventory icons for their vehicle controllers, though.

    only trouble with controllers is youre limited to a 16x16 draw area.. the original tech icons fit perfectly so i just used those

    I should mention that i'm developing this in cheerful, will back port it for glad if i'm not done by update

    Sigma mechs are 60%ish complete .. cause they were the easiest heh

    wondering if i should fix bugs also, or just go for a straight conversion at first?

    Although, can you maybe add a way to craft them more like the original xsmech mod? Buying them is good and all, but if you were to only be able to buy them I would also make them more expensive (especially the Stronger/ higher tier ones)

    yes, already setup when i did the outpost vehicle guy
    all my mods that ive updated recently do support it (gardenbot, dozers, airlocks) - however, depending on mod load order they may not show up

    probably will leave the crafting part in, but have it make a controller instead of the chip
    final pixel price on controllers are not set yet, still all at 11k from copy of hoverbike controller i used as base

    i cant wait to see this when its out and just wondering what time will this be done like i know its 60% done but a estimated time perhaps

    first alpha release :party:woo! -
    should be compatible with both Glad Giraffe and Cheerful Giraffe
    (Cheerful definitely works - i did not test in glad)

    only 2 mechs 'work' at the moment
    there is still lots to do. don't expect miracles :)

    Available mechs - Sigma, Elite Sigma
    - all weapon systems work
    - Jumping/hovering does not work yet
    - walking, firing, pwerup/powerdown animations play
    - most sounds play, still need to fix walking sound - it plays once then you walk silently

    if you like mod so far, like this post ;)

    @pixelgod84 - aiming to be 'done' by valentines day, but depending how ugly the rest of the mechs are to convert, might be longer

    edit: fixed jumping/hovering - but not included in archive ;)

    That's nice to hear Kao, thanks for continuing this mod. Also, please make the mod in a manner it doesn't bind the character to the mod (such as codices and hidden stats ).

    for some reason when i try and start the game it comes up with a error and crashes (i dont think it works on glad ._.)

    Does that for me too, doesn't work for latest version yet, might want to test it yourself kao

    That's because he developed it in Cheerful Giraffe (Nightly) and has not tested it in Glad Giraffe.

    warned that it might not work in Glad... will have to check whats wrong
    sorry :(

    weird, installed the archive in glad, did a "/spawnitem xsm_sigmamechcontroller", used controller, and it didn't crash o.o
    guns fired, moved fine - still didn't jump cause archive doesnt have that heh .. strange that i can't reproduce crash

    please try it again, then paste me the error from your starbound.log -- would love to track this down

    i see xenon pack sticks out in front of grenade launchers.. can't really do anything to fix it unfortunately due to the layering

    afaik, there were no codices in it, only caveat to uninstalling i can think of is make sure you don't leave a mech sitting out somewhere before uninst.. potentially cause error when game tries to spawn entity and theres no definition anywhere
    when i add recipies, they will be learned by picking up a durasteel bar

    sigmas are done :) -- yes i actually tested in both glad and cheerful

    get them at outpost vehicle guy or craft them at robotic craft table or tabula rasa

    added crafting of all vehicle controllers - same mats as previous recipes -- probably balance them later

    decided to skip warp anims on mechs, just going to have the outline for placement like vanilla vehicles
    since the mechs have immediate animations of squating & cockpit opening, don't need warp.

    next 2 i will be working on will be theta first then ronin rho
    the capture beam of pirate rho & plain rho could be "fun" :wut: so saving those for last ;)
