I hope that, when they are actually released, hoverbikes are able to hover higher than that, because they'll be kind of useless otherwise.
Will the hover bikes come with guns? I think they should come with guns, or at the least have a upgrade to add a gun.
Another suggestion - add the robotic horse that Glitch knights (found in castles) ride as a "vehicle" so that we can ride that too. @mollygos, you know if your heart that it is a great idea.
If they don't, there's a high likelyhood someone will create a Mod to compensate the fans disappointed by the official stats/release. Personally, I wouldn't mind a hoverbike with not only a more "flight" capable engine, but also having a mining lazer equipped! EDIT: Thinking about it, there's actually a lot CF (or the modding community) could do with Hoverbike tech. 1. Underwater exploration/dungeons/bossfights. 2. Asteroid exploration/dungeons/bossfights. 3. Expansion of your "Ship" capabilities/interactions (Dogfights IN SPACE)! 4. Farming Mechs: Overbikes that spray water over crops + Tractor that NPC's (in your colony) can use to harvest/plant your herbs and spices.

My thinking exactly, I'll tend to read way too little text, before I click links. All I read was "hoverboard" and I was already celebrating. Then I saw the gif and was slightly annoyed, that I just read the end of the title. Question: If the hoverbikes are being faster than normal walking speed, and can only hover over +1-block heights and +2-heights need to be jumped over, otherwise it will be breaking the speed - will that collision also damage the bike? Then we really need to look out for hills unless we don't want to crash.
I guess I don't need to upgrade my mod hoverbike code. This is much better than my current solution and exactly how i hoped it would work.
You really want that, right? I read the title as We have Hoverbikes, now we get Hoverboards... Now I am kinda sad that that isn't the case. But even more I am exited for this stuff.
